Every morning, a batch of service order tickets lands on my desk. New installs. Relocations. Repairs. My job is to get them assigned, dispatched, and closed without a single one falling through the cracks.
For the past year and a half, I've been the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between a general contractor and field technician teams on telecom, fiber, and WiFi installation projects, running the full service order lifecycle from ticket to close-out.
Here's what that looked like day to day, and where the same skill applies remotely:
Dispatch and scheduling. I split daily tickets across technicians fairly and efficiently, then dispatched each one. Remotely, this is managing a queue, assigning tasks, and keeping a team on schedule through a CRM or ticketing tool.
Materials and inventory management. I provisioned technicians with what each job needed, coordinated replenishment with the contractor's logistics team, and ran quarterly cycle counts that caught shortages before they became a problem. This translates to order tracking, inventory reporting, and spreadsheet work for any operation.
Go/No-Go decision making. I cleared technicians to proceed and escalated the
Real-time status tracking. I monitored technician progress and relayed updates to the contractor all day. Remotely, that's status reporting and keeping stakeholders in the loop without them having to chase you for it.
Customer-facing communication. I stepped in directly when a job needed it. That same steadiness carries over to client-facing
Systems I use daily: TMS and Oracle, plus Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. I've also completed hands-on GoHighLevel (GHL) training, building workflows, pipelines, and CRM automations, so if your operations run through GHL, that's covered too.
Where I can help you:
Operations coordination and dispatch for service-based businesses
Scheduling and calendar management
Inventory and materials tracking
CRM setup and management, especially GoHighLevel
Customer support and status updates
General virtual assistant work for ops-heavy teams
What working with me looks like: I stay organized when three things go wrong at once. I update you before you have to ask. I treat your operation like it's mine to protect.
I'm new to remote work. Not new to responsibility.
If your team needs one dependable person to own dispatch, scheduling, materials, or coordination, let's talk about how I can plug in.
