$5–$7 USD/hour | Long-Term Position | Growth Opportunity
We are looking for a smart, dependable, highly organized Virtual Assistant who wants to become a long-term part of our team.
We are not looking for someone who simply completes assigned tasks and waits for the next instruction. We want someone who takes ownership, follows through, thinks ahead, brings ideas, and helps us improve the way we operate.
You do not need to know everything when you start. We will train the right person. What matters most is that you are intelligent, resourceful, dependable, comfortable with technology, and able to learn independently.
Prior appraisal experience is NOT required. We can teach you the appraisal-related portion of the position.
Responsibilities
You will assist with:
Typing and preparing appraisal-related reports and documents
Answering incoming business calls
Communicating professionally with homeowners, lenders, attorneys, real estate professionals, and other clients
Scheduling appraisal appointments
Responding to appraisal bid requests
Negotiating fees and turn times within company guidelines
Managing
Keeping track of outstanding items and following up without needing to be reminded
Helping organize and improve company systems and workflows
Using ChatGPT and other technology to improve productivity
Assisting with website, marketing, advertising, and business improvement projects as needed
Again, appraisal experience is not required. We are willing to train someone who demonstrates strong learning ability, attention to detail, initiative, professionalism, and reliability.
Schedule & Availability
This position requires consistent availability during U.S. Central Time (CT) business hours.
Work schedules will generally fall within one of the following shifts:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CT
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CT
10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CT
The specific schedule will be determined based on company needs and discussed during the hiring process.
Because this position includes answering business calls, communicating with clients, scheduling appointments, and handling time-sensitive matters, applicants must be able to reliably and consistently work their assigned Central Time schedule.
Computer & Workstation Requirements
Because this position involves working with multiple programs, documents, websites,
You must have:
A reliable computer capable of handling your daily workload
At least two computer monitors/screens that can be used together as one workstation
Reliable high-speed internet
A working microphone and audio setup for calls and meetings
A dependable backup plan for internet or power outages
A desktop computer plus a completely separate laptop that cannot function as a second connected display does NOT meet the two-screen requirement.
You must be able to work across at least two screens simultaneously from the same workstation.
Please do not apply if you do not currently meet this requirement.
We Want Someone Who Contributes
We do not want someone who does something a certain way simply because “that’s how it has always been done.”
If you notice a better, faster, more organized, or more efficient way to do something, we want you to tell us.
We want someone who:
Takes ownership of assignments from beginning to completion
Follows up without being asked
Notices when something still needs attention
Thinks ahead
Identifies problems and suggests solutions
Brings new ideas to the company
Researches better ways of doing things
Is comfortable respectfully recommending changes
Wants to help the company grow, not simply complete tasks
If you are given responsibility for something, we should not have to continuously remind you that it still needs to be completed.
We want someone who develops their own system for keeping track of responsibilities, deadlines, follow-ups, and outstanding items.
AI & Technology
You do not need to be an AI expert.
However, you must be comfortable learning new technology and figuring things out independently.
We may ask you to research ChatGPT, AI tools, automation, websites, marketing systems, software, or other technology that could help our business.
We want someone who can research it, learn it, test it, help implement it, and then come back and clearly teach us how to use it.
If you encounter something you do not know how to do, your first response should not always be, “I don't know how.”
We value people who are willing to research, troubleshoot, learn, and attempt to find a solution.
If you are carefully reading this job posting, use the exact subject line “Michael Jackson Is Dancing” when submitting your application.

Interested in a long-term position and growing with one company
Able to consistently work during your assigned U.S. Central Time schedule
Able to manage multiple responsibilities and follow-ups without constant supervision
Experience with customer service, executive assistance, real estate, mortgage, scheduling, ChatGPT, websites, marketing, CRM systems, or automation is a plus.
Appraisal experience is a plus but is NOT required.

Starting pay is $5–$7 USD/hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability.
