JOB OVERVIEW

Executive Assistant to CEO – 20 Hours a Week
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an Executive Assistant who can work directly with the CEO of an education company running speech, debate, and writing programs for 360+ students across two branches in Korea.
This is not a task-runner position. You will be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks — tracking deadlines, following up on staff action items, preparing data for reviews, and ensuring events run smoothly without last-minute scrambles.
The ideal candidate has worked in education, understands competitive speech and debate, and has the initiative to identify problems before they become crises.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
English fluency (spoken and written)
Your own laptop or PC
Reliable, fast internet connection
Private, quiet workspace (no shared offices, no background noise, no phone interruptions)
Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
Ability to work independently without micromanagement
Willingness to flag problems early rather than wait to be asked

ROLE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Ability to track multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Experience ensuring tasks get completed — not just assigned
Comfort holding others accountable politely but firmly
Can create and maintain checklists, trackers, and status updates
Understanding of tournament structures and common speech/debate formats (Parliamentary, Public Forum, Impromptu, Oratory, Extemporaneous, Interpretation)
Ability to research tournament topics, deadlines, and requirements independently
Strong spreadsheet skills — formulas, filters, pivot tables, clean formatting
Ability to pull data from multiple sources and prepare simple reports
Can draft professional emails on behalf of the CEO
Able to summarize meetings and track action items
Confident following up with staff when tasks are overdue

PREFERRED SKILLS
Education background (teacher, tutor, academic administrator, or school staff)
Experience in international schools or overseas education settings
Prior experience in speech/debate (as competitor, coach, judge, or program staff)
Experience as an executive or personal assistant
Experience supporting performance reviews or evaluation cycles
Familiarity with project management tools such as Anytype or similar
Korean language ability (higher pay)

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Event Support
Track all upcoming tournaments, workshops, and internal events
Ensure registrations, prep topics, email lists, and deadlines are handled
Flag gaps before they become emergencies
Follow up with staff on incomplete tasks
Data & Performance Support
Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets
Prepare data summaries for faculty performance reviews
Organize records and ensure accuracy
CEO Support
Manage inbox triage — flag priorities, draft responses
Prepare meeting agendas and capture action items
Track projects and ensure deadlines are met
Coordinate calendar and scheduling
System Management
Own internal task/project management system
Update status, flag overdue items, keep CEO informed

WORK HOURS (KST)
20 hours per week
Tuesday: 4 hours (prep/planning — minimal real-time interaction)
Wednesday–Friday: 4 hours each (active support)
Weekend: 4 hours (event support as needed)
Specific times flexible within KST business hours.

PAYMENT
20,000 PHP per month (20 hours/week)
Hours may expand based on performance and mutual fit — 30 hours/week = 30,000 PHP/month.
Higher pay available for:
Korean fluency
Strong speech/debate background
Education work experience
Project management tool expertise

APPLICATION PROCESS
Apply with your CV. In your cover message, explain how you meet the role-specific requirements and preferred skills.

Interview (10-15 minutes, video call). You will be asked to show your workspace, which must be private and quiet.

ATTENTIVENESS TEST
Write "Ready to Keep Things on Track" in your subject line so we know you read the full posting.

WARNING
This role requires initiative. If you wait to be told what to do, you will not succeed here.
If you do not understand speech and debate terminology, you will struggle.
If your English communication is unclear during the interview, we will end it early.
If you cannot commit to consistent weekly hours, do not apply.
