I’m looking for a sharp, highly independent person to work closely with me and a small team across marketing, research, operations, and executive support.
This is not a traditional VA role where you wait for someone to assign your next task. You should be comfortable figuring things out, managing your own priorities, noticing what needs to happen next, and bringing back finished work instead of creating more work for your manager.
Most of our work is connected to U.S. politics, political fundraising, and digital communications. You do not need to be a political expert on day one, but you must be interested in U.S. politics and willing to learn quickly.
## What You'll Work On
**40% Marketing & Content**
* Draft and edit fundraising
* Research political stories, candidates, issues, and messaging angles
* Review and proofread copy from other team members
* Help with basic creative and graphic design projects
**25% Research & Special Projects**
* Research vendors, tools, organizations, people, and political topics
* Prepare concise reports, recommendations, and basic data analysis
* Take loosely defined projects and figure out how to move them forward
* Improve processes and document recurring workflows
**20% Executive & Administrative Support**
* Manage
* Organize documents and recurring administrative tasks
* Handle bills, subscriptions, personal logistics, and similar support as needed
**15% Proactive Operations**
* Identify things that need attention before being asked
* Keep projects from stalling
* Follow up with team members and vendors
* Find better ways to organize or complete recurring work
The percentages are approximate and will shift depending on the week.
## What Matters Most
**Excellent English.** Near-fluent written and spoken English is essential. You will regularly write and review material that goes directly to other people.
**Independence.** You should be comfortable working without constant supervision. If you need someone to continually tell you what to do next, this is not the right role.
**Strong technical skills.** You should learn new software quickly and be comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Notion, spreadsheets, marketing platforms, and AI tools.
**Good judgment with AI.** You should know how to use AI to work faster, but also when not to use it. AI output must be reviewed, facts must be verified, and sensitive information must be handled appropriately.
**Organization and follow-through.** You should naturally track deadlines, remember follow-ups, and close loops without someone chasing you.
**Reliable setup.** You need a dependable computer, strong internet, and backup internet such as a hotspot or second connection.
## You'll Probably Do Well Here If You
* Like figuring things out yourself
* Learn quickly
* Write well
* Notice problems before someone points them out
* Thrive on small teams with lots of autonomy
* Are comfortable switching between creative, analytical, and administrative work
* Can hear "please figure this out" and turn it into a finished result
Experience in copywriting, digital marketing, politics, graphic design, research, operations, or executive assistance is a plus.
## What We Offer
* $1,000 USD/month
* Fully remote work
* Paid Philippine holidays
* Paid time off
* Annual performance bonuses
* Significant autonomy and room to grow
* Exposure to political marketing, operations, research, and executive-level work
For the right person, this role can grow substantially as you earn trust and take on more responsibility.
