Executive + Growth Assistant | Long-Form YouTube Editor
Part-Time | 15–20 Hours/Week - Goal to grow revenue to move to full time within 60/90 days based on direct revenue growth
We are a founder-led U.S. coaching business serving high-performing women in real estate.
Our work is warm, faith-based, direct and focused on helping women build profitable businesses, wealth and lives they actually have time to enjoy.
You will work directly with our founder, Saundra Kandler, and become a key person in a small, growing company.
This is not a traditional VA role.
I am looking for someone who becomes my right hand in execution, someone who thinks ahead, communicates constantly, takes ownership and helps turn fast-moving ideas into results.
You must also already be an excellent, efficient long-form YouTube video editor.
BEFORE YOU APPLY, KNOW WHAT YOU'RE WALKING INTO
I move fast.
I think out loud.
I generate ideas quickly.
I coach, create, sell, speak, build relationships and drive the vision of the company.
I need someone beside me who naturally thinks:
What happens next?
You notice what's coming.
You follow up without waiting to be asked.
You remind me when I need reminding.
You catch mistakes before I see them.
You ask smart questions when something isn't clear.
You communicate before something becomes a problem.
You understand the result we're trying to create, not simply the task you've been assigned.
Sometimes I want to hear:
“Saundra, I noticed this and already handled it.”
Or:
“Here's what I found. Here's what I recommend.”
Or:
“I need this from you today so we stay ahead.”
If you prefer receiving a perfectly prepared task list and working quietly on your own, this will probably not be the right role.
If you love being trusted, solving problems, collaborating closely with a founder and taking ownership, keep reading.
YOUR FIRST MISSION: HELP US SELL EVENT TICKETS
We're hiring at an important moment.
We have an immediate, measurable business priority.
We have approximately one week to significantly increase ticket sales for an upcoming live event.
One of your first responsibilities will be helping us personally reach top women in real estate across approximately 15 priority U.S. markets.
This is not an assignment to simply create a few event graphics and schedule posts.
We need action.
You will help:
Research and identify high-performing women in real estate in our priority markets
Build and maintain accurate prospect lists
Help send thoughtful, personalized DMs and outreach
Track every person contacted
Track responses, conversations and follow-up
Identify warm prospects who need personal outreach from Saundra
Make sure interested prospects receive timely follow-up
Keep our contact and CRM information current
Track registrations against our goal
Identify which messages and approaches are producing conversations
Adjust quickly based on what is working
Keep Saundra focused on the highest-value conversations
Look for additional opportunities to increase registrations
You will not personally control whether someone buys a ticket.
You WILL own the quality, consistency, tracking and follow-through of the actions within your control.
Sending a certain number of DMs and checking the task off the list is not the goal.
I want someone looking at the numbers and asking:
“Are our actions producing the result we need? If not, what should we change?”
THE LONG-TERM MISSION
After this immediate event push, the mission remains simple:
Protect the founder's time, help create revenue, execute our content at a high level and make sure important things get finished.
Success means that over time:
I carry less in my head because you are here.
You know what's coming.
You know what's open.
You know what needs my attention.
You know what you can handle without me.
And things don't quietly fall through the cracks.
LONG-FORM YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITING
This is a required technical skill, not a bonus.
Every week, you will independently take approximately one long-form video from raw footage to a polished, professional, YouTube-ready final product.
You must already be able to:
Edit long-form talking-head, coaching or educational videos efficiently
Make intelligent cuts without being told where every cut belongs
Remove mistakes, unnecessary pauses and distractions
Create engaging pacing
Clean and balance audio
Add tasteful B-roll, graphics and text when they improve the video
Maintain a sophisticated, professional visual style
Catch editing mistakes before I see them
Create or support strong thumbnails
Upload and correctly format videos on YouTube
Help optimize titles and descriptions
Meet deadlines consistently
I should not have to re-edit your edits.
If you are still learning long-form video editing, please do not apply.
EXECUTIVE SUPPORT
This is where this position differs from a traditional content or social media VA.
You are helping me run the business.
You will help with:
Calendar awareness and meeting reminders
Tracking deadlines and commitments
Following up with me when you need something
Preparing information before meetings
Client and prospect follow-up
Research
Maintaining project and task systems
Keeping open loops visible
Creating simple SOPs for recurring work
Making sure important commitments actually get completed
Here's a simple example:
If we have a meeting at 10:00 AM and I haven't joined by 10:03, message me.
If you need something from me on Wednesday to meet a Friday deadline, ask me before Wednesday.
If instructions are unclear, ask rather than guessing.
If you discover a problem, bring me the problem and what you recommend we do about it.
If something might be late, tell me before it's late.
I should gradually have to remember less, not more, because you're here.
CONTENT + MARKETING
We are not interested in producing content simply to hit a posting quota.
I care about quality, consistency and business impact.
You will help:
Repurpose our weekly YouTube video into strategic short-form content
Edit Reels and Shorts
Create polished Canva graphics when needed
Schedule content across Instagram,
Help build and schedule our weekly
Create promotional content for events and offers
Maintain our content calendar
Proofread and quality-check everything before publishing
Use ChatGPT and other AI tools intelligently
Track what is working and help us improve
You need a strong visual eye.
Quality matters.
Accuracy matters.
LIVE MEETINGS ARE PART OF THIS JOB
Please read this section carefully.
This is NOT an asynchronous-only role.
You will work directly with me through regular live Google Meet or Zoom conversations, generally several times per week during agreed U.S. Eastern Time hours.
There may also be times when you join a planning, client or event-related meeting when your work is relevant.
You must genuinely enjoy live collaboration and be comfortable on camera.
I think out loud, and some of our best work will happen through real-time conversation.
Your responsibility is to listen carefully, ask intelligent questions, capture what matters and turn the conversation into action.
After our meeting, I should not have to sit down and create your task list for you.
You should leave knowing:
What you own.
What I own.
What happens next.
Please do not apply if regular live video meetings feel inconvenient, you strongly prefer asynchronous-only work, you are uncomfortable being on camera, or you want a role where you rarely interact directly with the founder.
There is nothing wrong with preferring that environment.
It simply isn't this position.
COMMUNICATION
I want an over-communicator.
You will never bother me by respectfully reminding me about something important.
I want to know what's completed, what's still open, what you need from me, what may be at risk and what you believe should happen next.
If something is unclear, ask.
If you need something, follow up.
If you make a mistake, tell me, correct it and learn from it.
If something changes, communicate early.
If you notice an opportunity, speak up.
Silence creates more work. Communication creates trust.
RELIABILITY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
Because this role includes live collaboration, executive support and video production, you must have a dependable work setup.
You need:
Strong, reliable primary internet
Backup internet, such as mobile/hotspot or a second provider
A backup power solution
A reliable computer capable of efficiently editing long-form video
A dependable workspace
Unexpected things happen.
What matters is preparation and communication.
Repeated internet, power or equipment issues that prevent consistent work will make this role difficult.
HOW YOU THINK MATTERS
I do not expect you to know everything.
I DO expect you to think before asking me to think for you.
When you encounter something you don't know:
Research it.
Use AI.
Look at our existing systems.
Think through the options.
Then come to me with a recommendation when appropriate.
I am looking for someone who naturally asks:
What outcome are we trying to create?
What happens next?
What could fall through the cracks?
What can I handle without Saundra?
What actually needs Saundra?
You are being hired for your skills and your brain.
Please use both.
EXPERIENCE + SKILLS
You should have:
Proven long-form YouTube editing experience
Excellent written and spoken English
Strong Canva skills
Social media/content publishing experience
Strong attention to detail
Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools
Google Workspace experience
Project/task management experience
Ability to research and learn technology quickly
Experience with CRM systems,
HOURS + COMPENSATION
This role will begin at approximately 15–20 hours per week.
Consistent overlap with U.S. Eastern Time is required.
There is an opportunity for responsibilities, hours and compensation to grow as the company grows and trust is established.
Please include your desired monthly compensation for 15–20 hours per week when applying.
HOW TO APPLY
Please read carefully.
Your application is your first assignment.
Generic applications will not be considered.
Start your application with:
I STAY AHEAD | [YOUR FIRST NAME]
Then answer the following 7 questions.
1. SHOW ME YOUR WORK
Send links to two long-form YouTube videos you personally edited.
For each, tell me what you personally handled, what software you used, approximately how long the raw footage was and approximately how many hours the edit took you.
Applications without long-form editing examples will not move forward.
2. YOUR 7-DAY PLAN
Imagine today is your first day.
We tell you:
We have 7 days to significantly increase ticket sales for our live event.
We want to personally reach high-performing women in real estate across our 15 priority U.S. markets.
You have access to our social media accounts, existing audience and contacts, CRM/contact lists, event information, registration page, existing content, AI tools and Saundra for high-value personal outreach.
You have approximately 15–20 working hours this week.
Walk me through what you would do during those seven days to give us the best possible chance of hitting our ticket goal.
Tell me:
How would you identify the right women?
How would you approach personalized outreach without making it feel like spam?
What would YOU handle?
What would you ask Saundra to handle?
What would you track each day?
How would you know whether your actions were working?
If we were behind pace after Day 3, what would you change?
Be specific.
I am less interested in a textbook marketing answer than I am in seeing how you think.
3. PRIORITIZE
You begin work and discover:
Our event registration link isn't working
Five warm event prospects need follow-up
Our weekly YouTube video is due tomorrow
Three social posts need to be created
I have an important meeting later today
What do you handle first, second and third, and why?
4. OWNERSHIP
Tell me about one real situation where you noticed something your employer or client needed before they asked you.
What did you notice?
What did you do?
What happened?
5. LIVE COLLABORATION
Tell me about your ideal working relationship with a founder.
How frequently did you meet live with your most recent founder, executive or client?
What did you personally do during and immediately after those meetings?
What do you enjoy about working closely with a founder in real time?
What do you find challenging about it?
6. RELIABILITY
Tell me:
What computer you use for video editing
Your primary internet setup and typical speed
Your backup internet solution
Your backup power solution
What U.S. Eastern Time hours you can consistently overlap
How many hours per week you can commit
7. WHAT DO YOU SEE THAT I DON'T?
After reading this entire job description:
What is one thing you believe I will need from you that I haven't specifically asked for?
Finally, tell me your desired monthly compensation for 15–20 hours per week.
At the very END of your application, write:
Details create trust.
Finalists will complete a live video interview followed by a paid practical assignment before an offer is made.
If you love producing excellent work, solving problems, communicating clearly, collaborating closely with a founder and being the person already thinking about tomorrow, I would love to hear from you.
