I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of the Visayas. Throughout my college life, I was a member of The Visayanian Publication, a student publication/organization that supported my tuition fees. There, I started as a Staff Writer, was later promoted to Associate Editor, and eventually became the Editor-in-Chief. After graduating, I was immediately hired as an Estimator at Cebu Technological University. During this time, I also served as a Substitute Teacher for a research subject within the same institution.

Aside from experiencing journalism during my college years, I was already exposed to writing at an early age through various writing contests in elementary school. These experiences helped hone my skills, deepen my interest in journalism, and build a strong foundation in effective communication.

Being a member of a publication, it was undeniable that teamwork was essential, as I needed to collaborate closely with my colleagues to accomplish our tasks effectively. The same applied when I became an Estimator, where teamwork was necessary in coordinating with company vendors and working with the team to turn project plans into reality. Moreover, as a Substitute Teacher, teamwork was also important, as I had to coordinate with my director regarding the topics he required me to discuss on specific schedules assigned.
Experience: 2 - 5 years
Publication: Planning was essential in determining who would write articles or cover events, allowing us to turn our ideas into well-structured and effective articles. Estimator: Being part of a department that turns plans into reality, careful planning was necessary, as attention to specific details is vital to the success of a project. Substitute Teacher: Planning helped me prepare how to effectively discuss the topics assigned to me and manage my schedule accordingly.
