Hi! I'm Gelo, a Licensed Civil Engineer with hands-on experience in site engineering, construction coordination, documentation, and quantity/cost monitoring for ongoing projects.
My background combines both technical engineering knowledge and practical field experience. I’ve worked closely with contractors, foremen, suppliers, and project teams in handling site inspections, progress monitoring, material coordination, and engineering documentation while ensuring work quality and compliance on site.
I’m proficient in AutoCAD drafting and familiar with BIM-based quantity/cost estimation using Cubicost. I also have experience in research, technical reporting, and construction-related coordination, which helps me stay organized, detail-oriented, and responsive in fast-paced work environments.
My undergraduate specialization was in Transportation Engineering, and I remain highly interested in infrastructure, practical design, and efficient project execution. My previous experience with BASE Bahay Foundation also exposed me to sustainable construction practices and alternative building materials such as bamboo.
I’m currently looking for opportunities where I can contribute in:
Construction and engineering support
Quantity takeoff and estimation
Technical documentation and reporting
CAD drafting and project coordination
Procurement and materials monitoring
Remote engineering assistance and admin support
I value reliability, accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement in every project I work on.

Experience: 2 - 5 years
Developed strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel during university, using it for engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, material estimates, and academic reports.
Experience: 2 - 5 years
Throughout my time in university, I regularly used Microsoft Office and Google Workspace apps (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, etc.) for engineering calculations, report writing, and group project collaboration. I'm comfortable switching between both platforms depending on what the task needs.

During my Civil Engineering studies, I worked with QGIS to model barangay demographics, where I learned how to visualize and analyze spatial data for planning and community insights.
Experience: Less than 6 months
Took Academic Course on OnShape, Tackled all basics and completed individual projects
Experience: Less than 6 months
Utilized Quantity Takeoff through academic projects, with the help of BIM software (particularly CubiCost). Learned how to make BOQ
