JOB OVERVIEW

$50 per video | 5-15 minutes | 1 per month

Are you an experienced video editor that tackles very real, pressing issues (like environmental crises, tech infrastructure, or cyber threats) but delivers them with a sharp, overly edited, and darkly humorous tone?

We need someone that finds life funny, cruel and barely liveable, yet d ---------- to wake up with a smile.

Our style is highly educational but highly cynical. Think of it as a blend of serious journalism and deadpan comedy. For example, we might do a breakdown of severe air pollution in a major city, but frame the geographic layout as "mountains that hate it".

We love GOOD WORK, and they are our inspiration. BUT we want to make our own path.

The content is factual and relevant, but the delivery is designed to make people laugh while they despair.

What You'll Be Doing:

You get the audio synced with video, you are only here for real post-production, timing the ---------- s, OCS (original clip segment), funny text effects, etc, if you watched good work you know what I mean.

Sourcing and integrating high-quality b-roll that contrasts the serious topic with the sarcastic tone of the script.

Pacing the edit to land the comedic beats perfectly—knowing when to let an awkward pause sit, or when to cut sharply for effect.

Following strict aesthetic guidelines (clean cuts, minimalist approach, no on-screen text during animations).

Requirements:

A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to edit documentary or educational content.

An inherent understanding of comedic timing, specifically deadpan or sarcastic humor.

Experience working with archival footage, news clips, and interview pacing.

Ability to work efficiently and communicate clearly.

To Apply:
Please provide 2-3 links to videos you have edited that best demonstrate your ability to handle serious topics with a humorous or engaging tone.
