JOB OVERVIEW

Full-Time · Reports to: Managing Principal

About the Industry:
Our Company is a commercial recovery firm specializing in merchant cash advance (MCA) and UCC-based enforcement. We recover defaulted commercial receivables on behalf of funder clients, working alongside partner law firms on litigation and post-judgment enforcement. This is commercial collections not consumer.

The Role:
This is the most senior recovery seat in the firm. You'll lead the team's hardest work — the highest-value and most complex negotiations, client-facing case strategy, and mentoring the recovery specialists. You'll carry a book of the toughest accounts yourself and set the standard for how the rest are worked.

What You'll Do:
Complex Recovery & Negotiation:
- Handle the highest-value and most complex negotiations with merchants, guarantors, opposing counsel, and competing creditors.
- Structure multiparty settlements, restructures, and releases.
- Resolve escalated impasses on accounts that stall at the specialist level.

Client Ownership:
- Own client-facing case narratives and reporting for key accounts.
- Confirm settlement authority with funder clients and respond to their inquiries.
- Work with the Managing Principal on strategy for high-stakes matters.

Team Leadership:
- Mentor and support Recovery Specialists and field their escalations.
- Review target-identification and negotiation quality across the team.
- Help set recovery playbooks and KPIs.

Requirements:
- 5+ years in commercial collections, MCA, or receivables enforcement, with a demonstrated track record on complex negotiations and settlements.
- Deep understanding of UCC enforcement, settlement structuring, and default/legal recovery workflows.
- Strong financial-record analysis (bank statements, ledgers, A/R).
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience.
- Experience with Simplicity Collect or a comparable collections platform.

Preferred:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Legal Management.
- Multi-state UCC Article 9 and judgment-enforcement exposure.

What We Offer:
- Competitive base plus performance incentives tied to recoveries.
- Firm-paid training and industry certifications.
- A leadership role in a growing commercial enforcement practice with modern, automation-forward tooling.
