Ocean Export Booking Coordinator (Freight Forwarding / NVOCC Operations)

About Us

US Global Shipping is a U.S.-based international freight forwarding and NVOCC company specializing in ocean exports, vehicle exports, containerized cargo, auto parts, hazardous cargo, and logistics services worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced Ocean Export Booking Coordinator to join our team and take ownership of carrier bookings, shipment coordination, and communication with shipping lines, warehouses, trucking companies, customers, and our documentation team.

Minimum Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or NVOCC Operations
* Experience handling Ocean Export Shipments
* Strong knowledge of container shipping operations
* Excellent written and spoken English
* Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time hours
* Stable internet connection and quiet work environment

Required Experience

The candidate MUST have experience working with major shipping lines such as:

* MSC
* Maersk
* CMA CGM
* Hapag-Lloyd
* ONE
* Evergreen
* COSCO
* ZIM

Main Responsibilities

Carrier Bookings

* Request bookings with shipping lines
* Compare rates and transit times
* Verify vessel schedules
* Monitor booking confirmations
* Follow up on pending bookings
* Handle booking amendments and changes
* Manage booking rollovers

Operations Coordination

* Coordinate with warehouses regarding loading schedules
* Coordinate with trucking companies
* Monitor port and terminal cutoff dates
* Ensure cargo is delivered before cutoff
* Track container releases and returns

Documentation Coordination

* Work closely with documentation team
* Verify shipping instructions
* Verify container and cargo information
* Ensure documentation is submitted on time
* Coordinate dangerous goods and special cargo requirements

Customer Communication

* Provide shipment updates
* Follow up on missing information
* Request required shipping documents
* Escalate urgent operational issues

Shipment Monitoring

* Track shipments from booking through vessel departure
* Monitor carrier schedule changes
* Update shipment status in company systems
* Report potential delays before they become problems
