About the role
Majority Audio is a UK consumer electronics business selling audio products through major retailers and online channels. We’re looking for an experienced, detail-focused assistant to help keep our product catalogue accurate and improve how our products are presented across retailer websites.
This role combines product content writing, catalogue administration and retailer follow-up. It suits someone who can write clear English copy, work carefully with product data and keep requests moving without needing close supervision.
What you’ll do
Retailer product pages and awards
• Review our product listings on major retailer websites and record where product awards and approvals are shown, including Which? awards and Dolby certification.
• Identify retailer content fields, image areas or other approved ways to display these items.
• Prepare and submit requests to retailers to add approved awards or approvals to product pages.
• Where a retailer has no dedicated field, check its requirements for infographic-style content and upload approved artwork where permitted.
• Track each request through to implementation, recording the product, retailer, date submitted, response and live page link.
• Use only supplied, approved award wording and artwork. Raise questions before making a claim or changing an asset.
PIM and product-data requests
• Monitor a dedicated
• Check that requests are clear and supported by the supplied source information, then update the PIM and record what changed.
• Ask for clarification where instructions conflict, information is missing or a requested claim cannot be verified.
• Keep product records accurate across SKUs and variants, with careful checks on specifications, names and product identifiers.
Monitor and Administer a sales inbox
• Check for incoming sales orders, and ensure they conform to our standards (minimum quantities etc)
• Acknowledge receipt of orders in a timely and professional way
• Answer basic questions about orders with the help of our standard policies.
• Adhere to an SLA based around UK working hours (Mon-Fri
New product and retailer set-ups
• Populate product set-up sheets and retailer forms using the current PIM data.
• Check each completed sheet against the source record before returning it.
• Leave unsupported fields blank or flag them for review rather than guessing.
Product copy
• Write, edit and proofread concise product descriptions, feature bullets and other catalogue copy.
• Make the copy clear and persuasive while keeping every product claim supported by approved product information.
• Follow the requested language, tone, character limits and field requirements for each retailer.
What good work looks like
• Product information and copy are accurate, consistent and ready to use with minimal correction.
• Retailer requests are logged and followed through, with clear records of what is live and what is still outstanding.
• Set-up sheets are complete wherever the source data allows, with gaps clearly identified.
• You communicate promptly, flag blockers early and ask when instructions or source information are unclear.
What we’re looking for
• Excellent written English and confident spoken English.
• Demonstrated experience writing or editing ecommerce product copy.
• Experience maintaining a product catalogue, PIM, ecommerce platform or retailer product listings.
• Strong attention to detail when working with product specifications, SKUs and spreadsheets.
• Good organisation and follow-through across several requests at different stages.
• Confidence using Excel or Google Sheets, online portals and shared documents.
• Good judgement: you check the source, protect accuracy and raise uncertainties instead of filling gaps with assumptions.
Experience with Plytix or another PIM, retailer portals, consumer electronics or product set-up forms is an advantage.
Hours and working arrangement
The workload will usually be around 10–15 hours in an active week, but hours will vary with the volume of product and retailer work and are not guaranteed to be the same every week.
Work will be completed flexibly around agreed deadlines. You must be available for a video interview at a mutually agreed time. Any regular meeting times or required UK-hours overlap will be agreed in advance.
