We are a U.S.-based eCommerce business seeking an experienced VA Marketplace Operations Specialist to research products, create eBay listings, and manage our Shopify catalog and customer communications.
The primary focus is to produce accurate, well-researched product listings. You will also use our cross-listing system, LitCommerce, to connect Shopify and eBay, perform inventory checks, and manage customer inquiries from our Shopify store.
Product Listing Responsibilities
* Research unfamiliar products using active and sold comparable listings.
* Determine appropriate pricing based on market data and condition.
* Create accurate product records in Shopify.
* Use our cross-listing system to prepare corresponding eBay drafts.
* Complete eBay titles, descriptions, categories, item specifics, condition notes, pricing, and policies.
* Organize Shopify products and collections.
* Edit product photographs using Canva or PhotoRoom.
* Review listings carefully before submitting them for approval.
Catalog and Inventory Management
* Check that SKUs, variants, prices, and quantities match across platforms.
* Identify duplicate, missing, unlinked, or incorrectly connected products.
* Perform regular Shopify and eBay catalog audits.
* Investigate synchronization and inventory discrepancies.
* Maintain a tracker of completed listings and discovered problems.
* Document issues before making corrections
* Ask for approval before deleting products, ending listings, changing synchronization settings, or performing bulk updates.
Shopify Customer Support
* Monitor Shopify Inbox and store-related
* Answer basic product, availability, and order-status questions using our guidelines.
* Record customer requests and maintain clear notes.
* Notify us promptly when an urgent response or review is needed.
Reporting and Communication
* Send a concise update at the end of each working day.
* List completed products and tasks.
* Report discrepancies, customer issues, and blockers
* Maintain a “Needs Review” list for listings or decisions awaiting approval.
* Flag urgent matters immediately rather than waiting for the daily update.
* Provide a weekly summary of catalog accuracy and outstanding work.
Required Experience
* Minimum 2 years of Shopify product and inventory-management experience
* At least 2 years of working knowledge of eBay Seller Hub and eBay listing requirements
* Proven experience using cross-listing or multichannel inventory software (2+ years preferred)
* Strong understanding of SKUs, variants, and inventory synchronization
* Experience researching and pricing unfamiliar products
* Professional written and spoken English
* Experience communicating with customers by
* Basic Canva, PhotoRoom, or similar editing skills
* Strong spreadsheet and organizational skills
* Excellent attention to detail
Experience with any established cross-listing system is acceptable. We provide onboarding and training materials for our internal systems, including guidance on our specific software and processes. However, you must already understand Shopify, eBay, and multichannel inventory principles to apply.
