JOB OVERVIEW

Big Little Campers is a premium campervan rental company based in Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand. We need someone reliable to check a small set of competitor websites every working day and log their rental prices into a spreadsheet, following a fixed checklist. No sales or customer contact involved. This is a data accuracy and consistency role, not a creative one. Precision and showing up every day matter far more than speed.

## What "good" looks like in this role

- Every entry is the genuine final price for the exact scenario specified, not an approximation
- A working screenshot exists for every single row, no exceptions
- The same scenario is checked the same way every week, so the numbers are truly comparable over time
- The weekly session happens on a similar day and at a similar time each week, so the data points stay consistent
- Anything odd gets flagged rather than silently logged and left for someone else to notice weeks later

## What this role does not involve

- No customer contact, no phone calls, no emails to competitors or customers
- No pricing decisions. You are gathering information, not setting or recommending prices
- No scraping tools, scripts, or browser automation. This is a manual, human-eyes-on-the-page check, which is the whole point: it catches things automated tools miss and isn't blocked by bot detection

## Skills and requirements

- Comfortable using Google Sheets (entering data into existing columns, not building formulas)
- Comfortable taking and organising screenshots, and using a shared drive folder
- Good written English for the weekly Slack summary
- Reliable internet connection and consistent weekly availability for a single 3 to 4 hour session
- Previous experience with data entry, market research, or virtual assistant work preferred but not required

## Pay and hours

This role is approximately 3 to 4 hours per week, paid hourly, in one sitting. We'll confirm the exact rate during hiring based on experience and current market rate for this kind of role, benchmarked against listings for similar data entry and market research VA roles on OnlineJobs.ph.

## Onboarding (first two weeks)

- Week 1: Walkthrough call to go through the Competitors tab, Scenarios tab, and Weekly Log tab together, and complete the first week's entries live on the call
- Week 2: Complete the weekly session independently, with a short check-in message once done
- End of week 2: Short review call to check the data quality and answer any questions before this becomes fully independent
