URGENT HIRE - We Need 4 Zoom Tech Producers ASAP!
About the Program:
The CORE (Community of Remarkable Educators) Fellows Program at
Schedule: Every Tuesday, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM Pacific Time (PT)
Compensation: Flexible / Competitive - based on experience
Role Overview:
As a Zoom Tech Producer, you will be the behind-the-scenes engine that keeps our weekly 150-person Zoom sessions running flawlessly. You will manage all technical aspects of the live virtual training so that facilitators and speakers can focus entirely on content delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Launch, manage, and close polls during the session; share results with the audience in real time
- Pre-configure and dynamically manage breakout rooms for 150+ participants, including assigning participants, setting timers, and broadcasting messages
- Ensure the active speaker is spotlighted/highlighted at all times so the audience has a clear visual focus
- Monitor the participant list, manage muting/unmuting, handle raise-hand queues, and admit attendees from the waiting room
- Monitor chat for questions, flag important messages for facilitators, and manage the Q&A panel
- Assist presenters with screen sharing, video/audio playback, and slide transitions as needed
- Start/stop cloud recording, enable live captioning, and ensure all session assets are captured
- Join 30 minutes early to test audio, video, screen sharing, polls, and breakout room configurations
- Provide real-time technical support for speakers and participants experiencing connectivity or platform issues
- Export attendance reports, poll results, chat logs, and recordings after each session
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Zoom Tech Producer, Virtual Event Producer, or similar role managing large-scale Zoo
- Expert-level proficiency with Zoom features: polls, breakout rooms, spotlight, co-host controls, waiting room, recording, and Q&A
- Ability to multitask under pressure in a live environment with 150+ attendees
- Strong, reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace
- Excellent communication skills - you must be responsive and proactive
- Available every Tuesday from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM PT (includes 30 min pre-session setup and post-session wrap-up)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with virtual event platforms beyond Zoom (e.g., StreamYard, Hopin, Airmeet)
- Familiarity with nonprofit or education-sector virtual programming
- Experience managing cohort-based or fellowship programs
- Basic graphic/slide support skills (Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint)
