Looking for: Commentary Video Editor for YouTube Shorts (Proven Experience in the Commentary Niche)

Type of content: YouTube Shorts (commentary, b-roll focused)

Volume: 30 videos per month (1 video/day on average min)

The most important skill is b-roll searching. If you're not confident finding and matching high-quality b-roll to a script, don't apply. You need to know how to source clips that visually match exactly what's being said in the video.

What you'll do:
- Edit fast-paced, high-retention Shorts matching the reference style
- Pace edits effectively to maximize retention and storytelling flow
- Source and use high-quality, copyright-free clips. Most of the videos you'll use will be from TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube Shorts — a sourcing guide will be provided once selected
- Match clips to the script segment by segment so everything flows naturally
- Add captions, transitions, flashes, and sound design following the exact style guide
- Apply color grading, audio balancing, and final polish before export
- Collaborate via Google Drive and ----------

Who we're looking for:
- Proven experience editing YouTube Shorts
- Strong portfolio
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and audience psychology
- Detail-oriented with visuals and audio
- Independent, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
- Has a capable setup (PC/laptop that can handle and export Shorts efficiently)
- Fast PC capable of handling video editing without lag
- Able to follow a specific editing style and replicate it precisely, segment by segment
