**Workload:** 4–6 long-form videos per month (minimum one per week)
**Bonus skill:** Thumbnail design
**Start:** As soon as possible — one video is ready to go now for the right candidate
**Budget:** Up to $350USD (500CAD$)/month (this is my ceiling, not a target — a strong candidate at a lower rate is very welcome)
**Turnaround:** Up to 5 business days per video from the time raw footage is shared (exact scheduling worked out together once we start)
**About the Channel**
I run a YouTube channel and coaching business focused on feminine embodiment and detoxification. My content blends deep educational teaching with a devotional, feminine tone — think long-form talking-head videos, guided audio activations, and personal-story-driven teaching. I'm not chasing viral hooks or fast cuts; I'm building a channel that feels like a trusted, grounded voice in a noisy space.
I'm looking for a long-term editing partner, not a one-off gig. If we're a good fit, this is a relationship I want to invest in and grow with over time — including more volume and more responsibility down the line.
**The Role**
You'll be the primary sole editor for my long-form YouTube content — typically 15–30+ minute videos. This is the bulk of the work. I will have some short-form in the future once we nail the long form part.
**Core responsibilities:**
- Edit long-form talking-head and voiceover videos from raw footage to final 4k export
- Apply clean, minimal cuts — tightening pacing without adding flashy effects
- Basic color correction and audio cleanup (leveling, noise reduction)
- Light B-roll integration and simple lower-thirds/captions where appropriate
- Maintain a consistent visual style across videos
- Turn around each video within 5 business days of receiving raw footage (we'll discuss this)
- (Bonus) Design YouTube thumbnails aligned with brand style (check my recent ones for beginning point)
**Editing Style — Please Read Carefully**
This is the most important part of this posting, so I want to be specific:
- **Minimal editing.** No sound effects, no whooshes, no dings, no
- **This is not short-attention-span content.** These are deep, educational, long-form videos. The edit should not distract from the message — the goal is to *disappear* in service of the content, not to entertain on its own.
- **Feminine, embodied, deep — not high-energy or hyper-produced.** Think Dan Koe's YouTube channel as a north star, not MrBeast. Calm, intentional pacing. Clean typography if any text is used. Subtle, tasteful transitions if any.
- I'll provide reference videos from my own channel to show the direction we're heading, plus 2–3 outside examples if helpful.
**What I'm Looking For**
**Must-haves:**
- Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content (not just Reels/TikTok/Shorts)
- A portfolio of editing style
- Strong sense of pacing for spoken-word, educational content
- Reliable communication and consistent turnaround times
- Comfortable with your own editing software of choice — I currently edit in Descript myself, but you're welcome to use whatever software you're most efficient in (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Descript, etc.), as long as final exports meet spec
**Nice-to-haves:**
- Thumbnail design skills
- Experience editing wellness, personal-development content
- Familiarity with feminine/soft aesthetic brand styles
**How to Apply**
Please send:
1. **2–3 examples of long-form video edits** (ideally 10+ minutes)
2. **A thumbnail portfolio**, if applicable
3. A short note on your availability and which editing software you work in (any software is fine)
4. Your rate (per video or monthly retainer) — budget for this role is up to $500 CAD/month for 4–6 videos, so please share what you'd charge within that range
**Optional but appreciated:** a note on why this style of editing appeals to you — I want someone who genuinely enjoys this kind of work
