About the Role
I run a growing real estate YouTube channel focused on Cape Coral, Florida. We film home tours, neighborhood tours, and lifestyle videos about living in Southwest Florida.
We recently upgraded our filming equipment (better cameras and microphones) and are looking for a skilled video editor who can help elevate the final production quality.
This role includes editing both long-form YouTube videos and short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Type of Work
Long-form YouTube videos:?5-20 minute home tours and area tours.
Short/Vertical-form content:?1-3 minute tours formatted for TitTok/YT Shorts filmed separately.
What We Are Looking For
An editor who understands modern YouTube pacing and can make videos more engaging and polished.
Examples of editing style we like include:
• Strong hook in the first 5–10 seconds?• Clean cuts and pacing (remove pauses and filler)?• Light background music?• Subtle zooms or punch-ins when appropriate?• Property information graphics (price, bedrooms, etc.)?• Occasional text overlays for emphasis?• Clean audio leveling?• Color correction if needed
For shorts we want:
• Fast pacing?• Captions or text overlays?• Trendy vertical formatting?• Attention-grabbing first seconds
Typical Workflow
You will receive:
• Raw video footage including B roll?• Thumbnail image (or you may create one if skilled)?• Basic instructions for the video
You will deliver:
Final edited long YouTube video?• Edited vertical tour from the footage
Sometimes we will want quick shorts pulled from long footage as well edited
Volume
Currently 1–3 long videos per week plus shorts.
This could grow as the channel expands.
Software
You may use any professional editing software such as:
Adobe Premiere Pro?Final Cut Pro?DaVinci Resolve?CapCut (for shorts)
Compensation
Open depending on experience.
Typical range:?$20-40 per long video?Shorts may be included or paid separately.
We are looking for a long-term editor if the fit is right.
