I run a fast-growing YouTube channel in the competitive cornhole space (yes, the bag-toss sport — it's bigger than you think, with a pro league, sponsors, and national TV deals). I'm a solo creator and I need a reliable editor to help me scale.
I'm looking for a long-term editor who can own my editing workflow week over week. This isn't a one-off gig — I want to build a real working relationship and grow together.
What You'll Be Editing:
1 long-form YouTube video per week (8–15 minutes) — event recaps, gear reviews, breakdowns, vlogs, documentary-style pieces
3–5 personality shorts/Reels per week (under 60 seconds) — punchy, high-retention, text-on-screen, trending audio
Occasional highlight edits and B-roll sequences from event footage
What I'm Looking For:
Strong Premiere Pro OR DaVinci Resolve skills (I'll work with either)
Excellent sense of pacing, timing, and retention editing — you understand jump cuts, J-cuts, L-cuts, and how to hold attention in the first 15 seconds
Clean text/graphics work (Lower thirds, kinetic typography, chapter titles)
Can sync multi-cam footage (I shoot on Sony a7iv + DJI Pocket cameras)
Understands YouTube retention graphs and how to edit for them
Color grading basics (matching shots, clean skin tones)
Sound design instincts — music beds, SFX, ducking under dialogue
Reliable internet for downloading/uploading large files via
Responsive communication (I use Slack or WhatsApp, reply within a few hours during your workday)
Can hit deadlines consistently — this is non-negotiable
Bonus Points If You:
Have edited sports content before (any sport — you understand highlight pacing)
Know how to pull shorts/Reels out of long-form content
Can design simple thumbnails in Photoshop/Canva (not required but a plus)
What I'll Provide:
Clear briefs and reference videos for every edit
Organized footage with labeled clips
Brand assets (logo, fonts, colors, lower-third templates)
Music library access
Honest feedback and room to grow
Paid reliably, on time, every time via PayPal
To Apply, Please Send:
Your portfolio or reel (YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive links)
2–3 long-form videos you've edited start-to-finish (tell me what YOU specifically did)
1–2 shorts/Reels you've edited
Your monthly rate for 20 hours/week
In your first line, type the word "BAGS" so I know you read this whole post
I'm reviewing applicants over the next 2 weeks and want to start immediately after. Looking forward to finding the right long-term partner.
