JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a part ---------- time Video Editor/Virtual Assistant and if the selected candidate is ideal, a long term commitment with the said candidate is desired with potential higher wage/salary. We are creating a faceless YouTube channel focused on psychology, human behaviour, relationships, habits, and modern everyday problems.

Approximately 20-30 videos are already prepared with completed scripts and matching images or slides. Most videos will be around 5–10 minutes long.

## Main Responsibilities

The VA/editor will:

* Generate and organize voiceovers using ElevenLabs
* Identify and recommend a suitable ElevenLabs voice for the channel
* Match the provided images and slides to the narration
* Add simple movement, transitions, captions, and sound effects where appropriate
* Improve pacing and remove awkward pauses
* Create a strong opening hook
* Add an outro that encourages viewers to subscribe or watch another video
* Export polished 1080p YouTube videos
* Make revisions when requested
* Assist with titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and video uploads
* Eventually help manage the YouTube channel and support channel growth
* Must be familiar with CanvaPro, Capcut or their own desired editing tools

The videos should feel calm, clean, modern, thoughtful, and relatable. They should not feel like basic slideshows or mass-produced AI content.

## Materials and Direction Provided

The channel name, branding, scripts, images, and video length will be provided after hiring.

Reference videos from other YouTube channels may also be provided, but the editor should bring originality and good judgement to the editing style.

No background music is currently required, although the editor may suggest improvements where appropriate.

## Expected Workload

For a 40-hour working week, a reasonable starting target is approximately:

* 5-10 completed long-form videos per week, depending on complexity, captions, revisions, thumbnails, and upload duties
* Additional YouTube Shorts created from completed long-form videos when suitable

Creating Shorts is encouraged. The editor may identify strong ---------- nts from long-form videos and turn them into short vertical clips.

## Possible Other Related Duties

As the channel develops, the VA may also be asked to assist with:

* Organizing scripts, images, audio, and completed videos
* Researching video ideas, trends, keywords, and competitor channels
* Creating Shorts from long-form videos
* Assisting with thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and upload scheduling
* Reviewing comments and basic channel analytics
* Suggesting improvements to editing, viewer retention, and channel growth
* Performing other reasonable YouTube production or channel-management duties as required

## Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should:

* Have experience editing YouTube videos
* Be comfortable using ElevenLabs or similar voice-generation tools
* Understand pacing, audience retention, captions, hooks, and simple visual storytelling
* Be reliable, organized, responsive, and able to follow feedback
* Show originality rather than copying another channel’s style
* Be interested in supporting the long-term growth of the channel

Applicants should provide examples of previous editing work and state which editing software they use.
