JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities

Editing the Main YouTube Video

• Cut mistakes, pauses, and filler words
• Add light zoom cuts to maintain viewer attention
• Add occasional b-roll or visual overlays
• Add light background music
• Add intro and outro
• Keep edits clean, professional, and easy to follow

Videos will typically be 5–7 minutes long.

Creating Short-Form Content

From each video, identify useful or interesting ---------- nts and create vertical clips.

A typical 5–7 minute video may produce 5–10 short clips.

Tasks include:

• Identify strong ---------- nts in the video
• Create vertical clips formatted for short-form platforms
• Add captions to short clips when helpful
• Export clips optimized for social media

Short clips will be used on:
• YouTube Shorts
• Instagram Reels
• TikTok
• LinkedIn

Visuals and Supporting Content

You will also use NotebookLM to generate visuals that support the explanations in the video.

These visuals may include:

• screenshots
• diagrams
• charts
• concept visuals

Your role will be to generate or gather visuals using NotebookLM and place them into the video where they help explain the topic clearly.

Light stock footage may also be used when it improves viewer understanding.

Optional (Preferred but Not Required)

• Upload and schedule finished videos to social platforms
• Write simple captions for short clips
• Create simple thumbnails for YouTube videos
• Organize finished videos in shared folders

Hours and Workload

This role is posted as hourly, but once the workflow is established each video should take approximately 1–2 hours to edit.

There will be consistent weekly videos, with potential for additional hours as the channel grows.

This is intended to be a long-term role for the right editor.

Skill Requirements

• Video editing experience
• Experience with short-form content editing
• Familiar with YouTube editing style and pacing
• Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut

Bonus skills (not required):

• Motion graphics
• Experience editing educational content
• Experience creating viral short-form clips
