JOB OVERVIEW

I am an entrepreneur running a successful dropshipping business, and I am launching a YouTube channel to document my journey and share what I’ve learned. I have high-quality raw footage (shot on a DJI camera) and I am looking for a talented, reliable Video Editor to take full ownership of the editing process.

My goal is to post 2 videos per week:

1.
One Lifestyle/Vlog Video: Documenting my daily life, driving, working, and the reality of running a business.

2.
One Educational/Talking-Head Video: Sharing specific dropshipping strategies, business lessons, and advice.

What You Will Do:

•
Take raw footage (often 20+ minutes of unedited video) and cut it down into an engaging, polished 8–15 minute YouTube video.

•
Adapt your editing style to fit the video type (e.g., fast-paced and narrative-driven for vlogs; clean, structured, and visually supported for educational videos).

•
Add engaging elements: background music, sound effects, text overlays, B-roll, and smooth transitions to maximize viewer retention.

•
Perform basic color grading and audio enhancement to ensure a professional look and sound.

•
Work independently. I will upload the raw footage to Google Drive, and I need you to find the story, make the cuts, and deliver a finished product.

What I Am Looking For:

•
Proven experience editing YouTube videos, specifically in the entrepreneurship, business, or lifestyle vlog niches.

•
Proficiency in professional editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).

•
A strong understanding of YouTube pacing, retention strategies, and storytelling.

•
Someone who is proactive and requires minimal hand-holding. I want to focus on filming; you focus on making it look great.

Budget & Workflow:

•
The starting salary is $500/month for part-time work (approx. 2 videos per week). There is room for this to grow into a full-time role with higher pay as the channel grows.

•
We will use Google Drive for file sharing.
