About Us
The Social Studio is a UK-based content agency. We build and run YouTube channels for established fitness coaches and creators, everything from IFBB Pro athletes to online business mentors. We're not chasing generic "content." We care about packaging, retention, and edits that actually hold attention. We're looking for a long-term editor to join the team as our roster grows.
The Role
You'll be editing long-form YouTube videos (typically 8 to 20 minutes) from raw footage. This isn't slap-a-cut-together work. We edit for retention. Strong hooks, tight pacing, clean storytelling, motion, sound, and edits that keep people watching. We're after a genuinely skilled editor, not someone who only knows the basics.
What you'll do

Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw multi-cam footage
Build retention-focused edits: strong cold opens, pacing, pattern interrupts, no dead air
Create motion graphics and animations that lift the edit, not just plain text on screen
Rotoscoping and masking work where the edit calls for it
Sound design: build atmosphere, punch, and polish, not just drop in a track
Music selection that fits the tone and drives pacing
Sync audio, clean up sound, colour correction
Add b-roll, text overlays, and captions/subtitles where needed
Work to briefs and packaging direction (we'll tell you the angle, you make it land)
Handle revisions and hit deadlines consistently

Requirements

Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content (portfolio essential, no portfolio means no reply)
Confident in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut
Strong motion graphics and animation skills (this is not a basic-level requirement, we want to see real quality)
Rotoscoping and masking ability
Sound design skills, not just adding background music
Music selection with a good ear for tone and pacing
A real understanding of YouTube pacing and retention (not just corporate/wedding editing)
Good written English and clear communication
Reliable, deadline-driven, self-managing
Your own editing setup and stable internet

Nice to have

Fitness, gym, or coaching content experience
After Effects proficiency
Thumbnail design
Ability to self-direct an edit from a loose brief

Hours & Availability

Full-time, 40 hours per week
Generally Monday to Friday, flexible within reason
UK time zone availability is essential. You'll need solid overlap with UK hours as communication is a big part of this role
100% remote

Salary

Competitive: PHP 50,000 to 85,000 per month, depending on experience and skillset
Long-term, ongoing role with room to grow
