YouTube Video Editor (Long-Form) – Large Multi Channel Media Company

Type of Work: Full-time (can start part-time during trial)

Hours: 40 per week
Job Overview

MrYouWho Global Media Network is a fast-growing global tech & lifestyle media network with 260K+ YouTube subscribers, 15+ active channels and a big presence across YouTube, Amazon, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Threads.

We are looking for a Senior Video & Content Producer whose main job is long-form YouTube reviews. Short-form is important, but it is secondary. If you only like cutting 30–60 second clips, this role is not for you.

You’ll take 30–90 minutes of raw footage and turn it into 8–15 minute YouTube reviews that feel fast, clear and watchable all the way through – then help spin off a few Shorts/Reels from that main edit.

This is not a VA role. It’s a creative production role for someone who wants a stable, long-term home with constant projects.

What You’ll Do (Priority Order)

1. Primary (70–80% of time)

• Edit full 8–15 minute YouTube reviews from raw footage (A-roll, B-roll, overlays, product close-ups, music, light sound design).
• Structure the story: build hooks, tighten the middle, keep retention high, land the verdict cleanly.
• Prepare 1080p/4K masters, check audio/colour, and hand off ready-to-upload files.

2. Secondary (20–30% of time)

• Cut 2–4 Shorts/Reels/TikToks from the long-form edit (not from scratch campaigns).
• Prepare Amazon Influencer versions using our compliance rules.
• Help with thumbnails in Canva and basic graphic elements.
• Keep Dropbox + Notion organised so every project is tracked.

You’ll also give occasional feedback to junior/graduate editors and help us standardise templates, presets and editing benchmarks.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years editing long-form YouTube videos (non-negotiable). Must be comfortable doing full narrative edits, not just “clipping the best bits.”
• Strong in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (CapCut desktop is a plus, but not the core tool).
• Proven ability to:
• Restructure talking-head content so it flows
• Kill filler and keep the pace moving
• Sync B-roll and product shots to what’s being said
• Fix basic audio issues and balance music vs voice
• Experience making Shorts/Reels/TikToks from long-form edits.
• Good English comprehension (scripts, briefs, feedback).
• Fast, reliable PC/laptop and strong internet suitable for moving large video files.

Nice to have

• Tech / product review channel experience
• Simple motion graphics (titles, overlays, call-outs)
• Experience mentoring other editors or leading post-p workflows

Perks & Growth

• 36,000 PHP – 55,000 PHP/month depending on experience & trial
• Weekly pay via Wise or PayPal
• 13th month pay + PH public holidays
• Performance bonuses for reliability, quality and output
• Long-term role with a path to Lead Editor / Post-Production Lead as we scale the team

How to Apply (Read Carefully)

Send a short application and answer these questions in your own words (no AI / generic answers – they will be deleted):

1. Why do you want to join MrYouWho specifically as a long-form YouTube editor?
2. Which 1–2 MrYouWho videos did you watch before applying, and what do you notice about our editing style? (Link them from ---------- /mryouwho)
3. Share 3 links to long-form videos you edited (8+ minutes, with voiceover and B-roll). For each one, tell us briefly what you personally improved in the edit (structure, pacing, B-roll, audio, etc.).
4. Share 2–3 links to Shorts/Reels/TikToks you cut from long-form projects. For at least one of them, explain how you chose the hook and why you cut it that way.
5. What software do you use, and what are your PC/Laptop specs? (CPU, RAM, GPU, storage, internet speed)
6. In your opinion, what separates a “good” long-form YouTube edit from a “great” one? Give 2–3 specific examples from your own work.

Add the word DETAILS at the very end of your application so we know you actually read the job post.
