JOB OVERVIEW

We are hiring a video editor for a YouTube channel about business failures, disasters, strange events, and major real-world stories.

We want editing that feels similar to Vox / MagnatesMedia / modern documentary YouTube:

We want this level of pacing, energy, and visual storytelling.

Important:
-This is not basic editing.

You must know how to find and use:
-real news footage, interviews, company clips, tweets, TikToks, Reddit posts, consumer videos, viral clips connected to the topic (IF YOU CANT DO THIS SOURCING OF FOOTAGE - thank you but please do not APPLY.)
-No random stock footage. Every clip should help tell the story.

What You’ll Edit:
-10–15 minute videos
-voiceover-driven
-fast documentary style
-built for YouTube retention

Skills Needed:
-strong pacing
-sound effects + music
-visual research
-clean text / labels / motion graphics
-good storytelling instincts

You must be able to:
-deliver 3 videos per week
-work independently once workflow is understood
-communicate well & meet deadlines.
