**Title:** Video Editor — Pop Culture / Anime / Movies YouTube Channel (Long-Form & Short-Form)
**About Us:**
CM Studios is a growing YouTube channel focused on pop culture content — movies, anime, cartoons, TV shows, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, horror, and collectibles. We create both long-form YouTube videos and daily short-form content (Shorts, Reels, TikToks) and are looking for a skilled video editor to join our team and help us scale. We plan for this role to grow as the channel grows.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
- Editing long-form YouTube videos (our priority — at least one quality video per month)
- Editing daily short-form videos (15-60 seconds) for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels
- You will receive raw recorded footage and creative direction fro
- You should have some relative knowledge of the niche. You don't have to be an expert — I am the expert. You can ask questions where needed, but I do expect you to be able to find quality clips, quality SFX, and quality level clips on your own.
- After each video is uploaded, spending approximately 1 hour on community engagement: responding to comments on our content and engaging with related creators' content to boost visibility
- Maintaining a consistent upload schedule and being available during upload windows
**What We're Looking For:**
- Proven experience editing both long-form and short-form content for YouTube
- Must have edited at least one short-form video that reached **1,000,000+ views on YouTube Shorts** or **10,000,000+ views on TikTok** (please include link)
- Must have edited at least one long-form video that reached **100,000+ views on YouTube** (please include link)
- Strong skills in storytelling, pacing, sound design, transitions, and retention editing for long-form YouTube content
- Strong understanding of hooks, text overlays, and trending editing styles for short-form platforms
- Familiarity with pop culture content — movies, anime (Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, etc.), cartoons, TV shows, Star Wars, Marvel/DC, and horror
- Understanding of YouTube algorithm and what makes both long-form and short-form content perform
- Reliable internet connection and ability to communicate clearly in English
- Experience with community engagement and understanding of engagement strategies is a plus
**How You'll Be Paid:**
- **Short-form videos:** Per-video rate, hourly rate, or whatever pricing structure works best for you — just tell us how you prefer to charge for short-form edits
- **Long-form videos:** Hourly rate or per-project rate — tell us your preferred pricing structure
- **Engagement work:** 1 hour of community engagement paid after each upload
- Payment issued upon completion of each video cycle (edit + engagement hour)
- Consistent, ongoing work — this role is designed to grow as the channel grows
