JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced YouTube Shorts Growth Strategist to help grow our existing sports ranking channel focused on football and basketball.

Our goal is to scale the channel to millions of organic views per month.

We already have a video editor and someone handling uploads. We are NOT looking for a video editor or basic VA. We need someone who understands YouTube Shorts growth, viral content, analytics, and strategy.

Responsibilities:

Analyze our Shorts analytics and identify why videos succeed or fail
Analyze retention, Viewed vs Swiped Away, engagement, and other key metrics
Research viral football/basketball Shorts and competitors
Find viral video ideas and ranking concepts
Develop stronger hooks and video structures
Identify winning formats we can repeat and scale
Give clear instructions and feedback to our editor
Review performance and continuously improve the strategy
Help us reach millions of organic monthly views

Requirements:

Proven experience growing YouTube Shorts channels
Strong understanding of retention, hooks, and viral content
Sports/entertainment experience is a big advantage
Strong understanding of YouTube Studio analytics
Good communication
Organic growth only — no bots, fake views, or paid traffic
