JOB OVERVIEW

YouTube Shorts Editor – Viral Ranking Videos

We’re looking for an experienced YouTube Shorts editor to create fast-paced viral ranking videos.

This is NOT just an editing job. You will be responsible for the entire Short, including:

Finding/sourcing all clips yourself
Selecting clips with strong viral potential
Ranking and structuring the clips for maximum retention
Fast-paced retention editing
Adding captions & text effects
Adding sound effects and music
Creating and adding the voice-over yourself
Adding commentary/text throughout the video where appropriate
Delivering a polished 9:16 Short ready to upload
VERY IMPORTANT

Clip sourcing is one of the most important parts of this job.

You need to understand what makes a clip entertaining and be able to find high-quality viral footage yourself. We don't want an editor who needs us to provide all the clips.

Retention editing is also a MUST.

You should understand hooks, pacing, pattern interrupts, ranking progression and how to keep viewers watching until #1.

We also want the videos to contain original/transformative elements, including voice-over, commentary, text effects and creative editing rather than simply compiling existing clips.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

You MUST have previous experience editing for a viral Shorts/TikTok/Reels channel.

Channels you've previously worked with (MUST BE EARNING CHANNELS)
Their results/views if possible
Your hourly rate
How long you typically need to complete one 30–50 second ranking Short

Target production speed: approximately 1 completed Short every 60-120 minutes once the workflow and templates are established.


There is potential for consistent, long-term work if the quality and results are good.
