About the Role

Are you a video editor who understands YouTube retention mechanics, pacing, and how to slice long-form content into viral vertical clips? Kipkeh Media is an expanding US media network seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Video Editor to craft high-engagement YouTube videos and repurpose them into dynamic clips for our mobile media networks and short-form video channels.

What You Will Do

Long-Form YouTube Edits: Assemble compelling, high-retention long-form videos with strong hooks, seamless pacing, visual overlays, sound design, and color grading.
Short-Form Repurposing: Extract key highlights from long-form footage, reframe, and optimize them into dynamic vertical clips with bold captions and graphics tailored for mobile broadcast channels and short-form feeds.

Audio & Motion Graphics: Enhance edits using basic After Effects motion design, dynamic graphic overlays, engaging text captions, and balanced audio/SFX.
Fast-Turnaround Execution: Execute tight-deadline edits smoothly without dropping quality standards or file organization rules.

Skills & Qualifications

Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, paired with working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics.

Retention & Pacing Mechanics: Deep understanding of YouTube audience retention, visual storytelling, dynamic hooks, and fast-paced vertical video formats.
Audio & Color Precision: Strong grasp of audio leveling, sound effect placement, and basic color grading.
High-Agency Standards: Ability to take creative direction, follow brand guidelines, organize project files, and propose engaging editing ideas proactively.

Compensation & Schedule

Compensation: $5.00 – $7.00 USD / hour (commensurate with portfolio strength and editing speed).
Schedule: Part-time (20 hours per week) with flexible working hours built around fixed delivery deadlines.

Reliable Pay: Weekly processing via Wise.
