WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A YouTube and short form expert who can listen to our podcast, extract the clips most likely to go viral, and turn every episode into content engineered to travel across YouTube, Shorts, TikTok and Reels.
HOW TO APPLY (READ THIS FIRST)
Start your written application with the words "Imagine if".
Then send a 3 to 5 min Loom: pick one of our episodes and show us the exact clips you'd pull and why, plus how you'd package it to go viral (hook, title, thumbnail, search). This is what we're judging.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Clip extraction: listen to every episode, pull the 4 to 6 highest-potential moments for long-form and short form, mark exact timecodes and words, and know why each one flies. This is the core of the role.
Hooks: engineer the first 1 to 3 seconds. Cold opens, pattern interrupts, retention curves. Test until it works.
Audience research: mine Reddit, Quora and search data for what our audience is searching and arguing about. Feed it into what we clip, how we title, and the questions we ask on the show.
SEO and AIO: video SEO across titles, descriptions, tags, chapters. Rank on YouTube and Google, get surfaced in AI answers.
Short form distribution: cut for Shorts, Reels and TikTok, post native to each, and know what's working per platform right now.
Channel and back catalogue: manage YouTube end to end and re-optimise old episodes to pull views again.
Thumbnails: direct and A/B test for CTR.
Reporting: weekly read on CTR, retention, AVD and what to do more of.
WHO YOU ARE
You can watch a 60 min conversation and instantly flag the 5 moments that'll stop a scroll.
Deep YouTube, short form, video SEO and AIO knowledge. Fluent in retention, CTR and AVD.
You run Reddit and Quora research to find what people actually want.
You make calls from data, not vibes, and you have taste.
