JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented video editor to help us process large amounts of raw footage for our YouTube channel, Dude Life.

NOTE: This is NOT a creative editing position.

We're looking for someone who can consistently work through hours of raw video footage, remove unnecessary sections, and prepare clean rough cuts for our main video editors.

The work is straightforward but highly repetitive. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys structured tasks, has excellent attention to detail, and can stay focused while performing the same editing process over and over.

What You'll Be Doing?

- Watching hours of raw, long-form video footage.
- Removing dead air, long pauses, blank spaces, and unnecessary downtime.
- Cutting out sections where nothing is happening.
- Removing obvious mistakes, unusable footage, and unnecessary retakes.
- Keeping all potentially useful conversations, reactions, and action footage intact.
- Creating clean, organized rough cuts for our main editing team.
- Processing large volumes of footage consistently and efficiently.
- Following the same editing guidelines across every project.
- Meeting deadlines and maintaining consistent quality.

What We're Looking For

- Extremely patient: Comfortable performing repetitive editing tasks for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented: Able to identify and remove unnecessary footage without a ---------- cutting important moments.
- Efficient: Can work through large amounts of footage quickly and accurately.
- Reliable: Consistently meets deadlines and follows instructions.
- Organized: Maintains clean timelines and project files.
- Experienced: Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro
- Self-motivated: Can work independently without constant supervision.

Your primary responsibility is simply to turn hours of raw footage into clean, usable rough cuts by removing unnecessary downtime and dead space.
