Video Editor (VA) — Real Estate YouTube Walkthroughs
Pay: Per video, I hope to do 2 a week. Turnaround: 24–48 hours per video from raw footage delivery
About the Role:
I'm a real estate agent based in Colorado who posts professional property walkthrough videos to YouTube for active listings. I need a reliable video editor who can take raw, unedited footage and turn it into a polished, smooth, watchable walkthrough video — consistently, on a fast turnaround.
What You'll Be Working With
2–4 raw video clips per property (shot on-site, unedited)
Occasional raw audio (voiceover or on-camera narration)
An outline I provide for each property (hook, key features, room-by-room flow, FAQ-style talking points)
My branding assets (logo, intro/outro, lower thirds, color palette — to be provided once you're hired)
Responsibilities
Combine 2–4 raw clips per home into a single, cohesive walkthrough video
Cut out dead space, stumbles, repeated takes, and filler
Sequence clips to match the room-by-room flow I provide (not just the order they were shot in)
Add smooth transitions between rooms/scenes — no jarring or amateur-looking cuts
Color correct/balance footage so lighting and tone look consistent across clips
Clean up or balance audio levels; reduce background noise where possible
Add background music (royalty-free) at a level that doesn't compete with narration
Add text overlays for key features, price, address, and specs where useful
Add captions/subtitles (burned-in or closed captions)
Build a strong opening hook in the first few seconds to keep viewers from clicking away
Add a clear call-to-action outro (contact info, "schedule a showing," subscribe prompt, etc.)
Export in YouTube-ready format (1080p minimum, correct aspect ratio)
Flag if raw footage is missing something needed to finish the edit (e.g., a room wasn't shot, audio is unusable)
Video Style Guidelines
Pacing: tight and energetic, but not rushed — this should feel premium, not like a TikTok
No cheesy stock transitions (no spinning cubes, page flips, etc.)
Keep branding consistent video to video (same intro/outro, lower-third style, font, music style)
Structure to follow: Hook → whole-home overview → room-by-room (organized by level) → closing CTA
Software
No specific software required — use whatever you're fastest and most polished in (e.g., Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Final Cut). Just note in your application what you use.
