JOB TITLE: Xero Bookkeeper (Remote – Philippines)
About Us:
We are a UK-based property business managing multiple student rental properties. We handle a
high volume of transactions, tenant payments, maintenance costs and contractor invoices. We use
Xero as our main accounting platform and are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to support
our day-to-day financial operations.
Responsibilities:
- Daily bank and credit card reconciliations in Xero
- Managing sales invoices, purchase invoices, supplier bills and tenant payments
- Tracking maintenance and contractor costs per property
- Preparing monthly profit and loss reports and basic cash flow summaries
- Managing aged receivables and aged payables
- Ensuring accuracy of coding, VAT treatment (where applicable) and documentation
- Liaising with management weekly with some UK timezone overlap
- Keeping records organised, up to date and audit-ready
- Supporting year-end preparation for the accountant
Requirements:
- 2–3 years minimum bookkeeping experience
- Strong, proven experience using Xero
- Xero Certified is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and spoken English
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Reliable internet connection
- Experience with UK clients or property bookkeeping is a plus but not required
Nice to Have:
- Experience with UK accounting or property management
- Experience using cloud tools such as Google Workspace, Excel, Trello
