ABOUT US
AdjustFair Public Adjusters is a licensed public adjusting firm in Michigan, USA. We represent homeowners and businesses – not insurance companies – after fires, floods and other major property losses. Our claims range from mid-size residential losses to large residential and commercial claims. You'll work closely with our field adjusters, turning their inspections into complete, accurate estimates.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Write Xactimate repair estimates for our claims, working with a steady and growing volume of work
• Work from DocuSketch 360° scans and sketches, photos, measurements and our adjusters' scope notes
• Write full-scope fire, smoke, water and wind estimates, including mitigation, demolition, rebuild and code-related items
• Revise estimates based on adjuster feedback and prepare supplements as claims develop
• Compare insurance company estimates line by line and identify missing or underpaid items
• Flag questions instead of guessing
• Follow our estimate standards, templates and Michigan price lists

REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years writing Xactimate estimates for U.S. property insurance claims (required)
• Strong Xactimate Sketch skills, including importing sketches from 360° capture tools
• Solid knowledge of U.S. residential construction, line items, quantities and repair sequencing
• Coachable: we'll train you on our standards, and we expect you to apply feedback and keep improving
• Excellent written English
• Reliable internet and a backup power/internet plan
• Able to keep client information strictly confidential (NDA required)

STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Large-loss experience (individual estimates of $100,000+)
• Experience with DocuSketch
• Commercial building estimates
• Experience working for policyholders, public adjusters or contractors (not only carrier-side desk review)
• Xactimate certification (Level 2 or 3)

WE PROVIDE
• Your Xactimate license (company-owned)
• Company email and Google Workspace accounts
• Training on our estimate standards and the policyholder side of claims

HIRING PROCESS
1. Apply with the details below
2. Short video interview (20 minutes)
3. Paid test: write an estimate from a real (anonymized) claim file with a DocuSketch scan. Paid whether or not you are hired
4. 30-day trial period, then long-term full-time role

WHY WORK WITH US
• Long-term, stable full-time position with a growing company
• Paid weekly via Wise
• Raises based on accuracy and performance, and room to grow into a lead or commercial estimator role
• Help families and business owners recover what they're owed after a disaster

HOW TO APPLY

Please include:
1. Years of Xactimate experience, and who you wrote estimates for (carrier, TPA, contractor, public adjuster)
2. The largest estimate you've written: type of loss and approximate dollar amount
3. How many estimates you typically completed per month
4. Experience with DocuSketch or other 360° capture tools
5. 2–3 redacted sample estimates or sketches (remove all names and addresses)
6. Your internet speed (screenshot of a speed test)
7. Your expected monthly salary
8. Answer this: "A kitchen fire caused heavy smoke damage throughout a two-story home. List 10 line items an insurance company's estimate commonly misses."
