### About the Project

We are looking for an *experienced WordPress to Shopify developer* to migrate our existing website from WordPress to Shopify.

This is more than a simple website migration. We are looking for someone who can take our existing website and *rebuild it on Shopify with a cleaner, more modern and professional layout*, while maintaining the important content, functionality and overall business requirements of the current website.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Shopify development, website design, WordPress migrations and creating professional, conversion-focused websites.

### Key Responsibilities

* Migrate our existing *WordPress website to Shopify*
* Transfer website content, pages, images and relevant information
* Ensure important SEO elements, URLs and metadata are maintained where possible
* Set up and configure the Shopify store correctly
* Recommend and implement an appropriate *Shopify theme*
* Improve the website's overall layout, design and user experience
* Create a modern, professional and mobile-friendly design
* Improve navigation and website structure
* Ensure the website works correctly across desktop, tablet and mobile
* Install and configure any necessary Shopify apps/integrations
* Test all pages, links, forms and functionality before launch
* Identify opportunities to improve the existing website rather than simply copying it
* Assist with the final launch and ensure everything is working correctly

### What We Are Looking For

The successful applicant must have:

* *Proven experience migrating WordPress websites to Shopify*
* Strong Shopify development experience
* Experience working with Shopify themes and customizing them
* Strong website design/layout skills
* Good understanding of e-commerce websites and user experience
* Knowledge of SEO and website redirects
* Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines
* Good communication skills
* Ability to take direction but also make professional recommendations
* A strong portfolio showing previous Shopify projects

### Important

*This project needs to be completed quickly*, so we are looking for someone who is available to start immediately and can dedicate sufficient time to the project.

We do *not* want someone who only knows how to transfer content from WordPress to Shopify. We need someone who can take ownership of the project and help us create a *better-looking, better-structured and more professional Shopify website.*

You should be confident recommending themes, layouts, apps and improvements where appropriate.

### Budget & Payment

The total project budget is *USD $1,200*.

Payment will be made *every two weeks*, based on agreed project milestones and progress.

A contract will be provided outlining the scope of work, milestones, payment schedule, responsibilities and expected completion date.
