JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced and creative WordPress Designer/Developer to help us customize, improve, and manage our WordPress websites.

FIRST PROJECT:

Our first project is an online auction website currently being built using WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor, with a premium theme

The website, WordPress, WooCommerce, and theme are already installed. We need someone who can take over the design and customization work and turn the site into a professional, clean, modern, fast, and mobile-friendly auction website.

You do NOT need to be an auction expert. We will explain how our auction process works and what functionality is needed.

We are mainly looking for someone who is very comfortable with WordPress and has both strong DESIGN skills and the TECHNICAL ability to customize and troubleshoot WordPress websites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customize the existing WordPress/iBid theme
• Design and improve the homepage and other pages
• Customize WooCommerce product/auction pages
• Build pages and sections using Elementor / Elementor Pro
• Create professional desktop, tablet, and mobile layouts
• Customize headers, footers, menus, buttons, typography, spacing, and other design elements
• Make CSS/customization changes when Elementor settings are not enough
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins
• Troubleshoot theme, WooCommerce, WordPress, and responsive design issues
• Improve website speed and performance
• Make sure the website works properly across desktop and mobile
• Take our ideas, examples, and content and turn them into finished professional pages
• Research and solve technical problems independently when needed

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong WordPress experience
• Elementor / Elementor Pro
• WooCommerce
• WordPress theme customization
• Strong web design and visual design skills
• Responsive/mobile web design
• CSS and basic HTML
• Plugin installation and troubleshooting
• Website performance and speed optimization
• Ability to troubleshoot WordPress problems independently
• Good communication

PLUS, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

• PHP
• JavaScript
• WooCommerce auction plugins
• Auction website experience
• Experience with the iBid WordPress theme

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We want someone who can do more than follow instructions. You should have a good eye for design, be creative, suggest improvements, and be comfortable finding solutions when you encounter a technical problem.

We will provide the business goals, content, examples, and direction, but we want someone who can take ownership of the WordPress work without requiring step-by-step instructions for every small change.

ONGOING WORK:

This is not necessarily a one-time project.

We have additional WordPress websites and projects planned. If the first project goes well, we would like to continue working with the same person part-time and on future projects.
