We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused WordPress VA to help us duplicate and localise existing websites across multiple UK locations.
This is not a role where you will be expected to design websites from scratch.
You will be working from an existing website structure, clear instructions, training videos and SOPs, then carefully updating each website for a new location.
Full training videos and clear SOPs will be provided, so you will not be expected to figure the process out alone. However, it is helpful if you already know your way around WordPress and are comfortable making edits confidently.
Pay
Initial rate: $4/hour
You will start with approximately 20 hours in Week 1.
If the quality of your work is strong, communication is good and you are hitting the required production level, there will be an opportunity to increase to up to 40 hours per week.
There will also be opportunities for performance bonuses for strong production and consistently accurate work.
What you’ll be doing
The work will initially include:
- Duplicating existing WordPress websites
- Updating all location references accurately
- Changing text, images and location-specific details
- Updating forms and contact information
- Updating image names, alt text and captions
- Updating internal links where required
- Updating LocalBusiness schema and other basic site details
- Checking mobile and desktop layouts
- Completing final QA before submitting the site
The most important things to us are attention to detail, reliability, good English and the ability to follow instructions carefully.
You do not need advanced SEO knowledge for the initial role, as full training will be provided.
However, any experience with:
- Local SEO
- On-page SEO
- WordPress optimisation
- Schema
- Website QA
- Technical SEO
will be a strong advantage and may lead to more skilled work in future.
Initial contract and future work
This will initially be a one-month contract.
There is a significant amount of duplication work required during this period, and there will likely be more of this type of work available again in future.
We also have a growing portfolio of existing websites that require ongoing optimisation.
For someone with stronger SEO skills - or someone who proves themselves and develops those skills - there may be longer-term opportunities working on:
- Local SEO optimisation
- Improving existing websites
- On-page SEO
- Technical fixes
- Schema improvements
- Content optimisation
- Website QA
- Testing new layouts and website builds
The goal is to find people we can continue working with, rather than simply hiring someone for one short task.
Paid trial
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a paid trial task.
The trial will be based on a real website duplication / localisation task and will allow us to assess:
- Accuracy
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow training
- English
- Communication
- Speed
- Overall quality of work
The trial will be paid whether or not you are selected for the longer contract.
Production expectations
* Once trained, the expected production level will be approximately:
* 2 - 2.5 completed websites per 20 hours
* This may vary slightly depending on the website and scope.
* Quality comes first.
We are not interested in rushed work that creates errors and then requires someone else to correct it.
However, someone who can work quickly while maintaining excellent accuracy will have the strongest opportunity to receive additional hours, bonuses and longer-term work.
Performance bonuses
The role will initially be paid hourly at $4/hour, with additional performance bonuses available once training is complete.
Bonuses may be awarded when you consistently:
- Hit or exceed agreed production targets
- Submit work with no material QA issues
- Require very few corrections
- Communicate reliably
- Complete all required checks
- Maintain quality while working efficiently
The exact bonus structure will be explained once training is complete and we have established a fair production baseline.
Who this role suits
This role would suit someone who:
- Is familiar with WordPress
- Is comfortable navigating the WordPress backend
- Can follow written SOPs and video training carefully
- Has very strong attention to detail
- Has good written English
- Communicates clearly
- Is dependable with agreed working hours
- Takes ownership of their work
- Can spot mistakes without always needing to be told
- Is willing to learn our exact process
Breakdance Builder experience is helpful but not essential.
