JOB OVERVIEW

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Website Designer who can own websites end to end — from structure and layout to content creation and launch. This role is ideal for someone who understands how design, content, and user experience work together to generate leads, especially for U.S.-based home services businesses.

You will work closely with our SEO team, who will provide keyword strategy, but you will be responsible for laying out pages, writing content, and building high-converting WordPress sites using industry-standard builders.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and manage WordPress websites from start to finish

Create page layouts that support conversions, trust, and clarity

Write high-quality website content using SEO-provided keywords

Build and customize pages using WordPress builders (Divi, Elementor, etc.)

Ensure sites are mobile-friendly, fast, and user-focused

Collaborate with SEO and marketing teams to align structure and content

Implement best practices for headings, internal linking, and on-page layout

Manage revisions, updates, and ongoing site improvements

Launch websites cleanly and confidently without hand-holding

Required Experience & Skills

Expert-level WordPress experience (5+ years preferred)

Strong proficiency with:

Divi

Elementor

Other common WordPress builders

Proven experience working with U.S.-based home services businesses
(roofing, HVAC, plumbing, exterior cleaning, hardscape, etc.)

Strong website content writing skills (service pages, homepages, location pages)

Solid understanding of how website structure supports SEO and conversions

Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, professional work

Nice-to-Have (Not Required, but a Plus)

Basic understanding of Core Web Vitals and page speed

Familiarity with WordPress performance plugins and best practices

Experience collaborating with SEO and PPC teams

Light CSS or theme customization experience

What This Role Is NOT

This is not a graphic-only design role

This is not a junior “page builder” position

This is not just content writing or just SEO

This role requires someone who can own the website, think critically, and execute confidently.
