JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
We are looking for a WordPress Website Designer & Builder who is highly competent in design and implementation, with less emphasis on strategy or project management.

This role is ideal for someone who loves designing clean, modern websites in Figma and then building them accurately in WordPress. You will work from clear briefs, structures, and direction, focusing on producing high-quality design and builds rather than managing the full website strategy.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Website Design (Figma-First)
Designing website pages and layouts in Figma based on provided briefs and structures
Creating modern, conversion-aware UI/UX with strong visual hierarchy
Maintaining consistent spacing, typography, and component use
Applying brand guidelines accurately across designs

WordPress Build & Implementation
Building approved designs in WordPress using Zion Builder and Bricks Builder
Ensuring designs are translated accurately from Figma to live sites
Implementing responsive behaviour across desktop, tablet, and mobile
Keeping builds clean, lightweight, and well-structured

Performance Awareness
Following basic CRO and UX best practices when designing and building
Implementing on-page SEO fundamentals as instructed
Ensuring websites are fast, responsive, and technically sound

You prefer heavy strategy or client-facing project management
You are uncomfortable working from briefs and direction

You can confidently build what you design in WordPress
You care about clean execution and visual quality
You work well from clear instructions and structures
You want to focus on design and build, not project management

Required Skills & Experience
Advanced Figma skills for website design
Strong WordPress build experience
Proven experience with Zion Builder and Bricks Builder
Understanding of responsive design and UX fundamentals
Familiarity with basic CRO and on-page SEO principles
Experience designing and building service-based or lead-generation websites
(Elementor- or Divi-only designers will not be considered.)

Availability & Work Setup
Remote role
Full-time or part-time depending on fit
Must be available for collaboration during AWST business hours
Long-term role for the right person
