JOB OVERVIEW

WordPress Web Developer – Experienced Only

We’re looking for a highly skilled and self-sufficient WordPress Web Developer to join our team. This is a technical, hands-on role — not a "learn on the job" opportunity. We've had applicants in the past who underestimated the complexity involved, so let us be clear: you must have real-world experience and be confident handling WordPress development, automation, and integrations independently.

What You’ll Be Doing

-Website Management
-Maintain and update WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
-Add/modify website content, including product updates.
-Troubleshoot technical issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
-Optimize site performance across devices.

Automation & Tool Integrations

-Set up and manage workflow automation (e.g., using Make/Zapier).
-Integrate third-party tools such as Gravity Forms, Slack, Monday, Mailchimp, and HubSpot.
-Hosting & Migrations
-Handle full website migrations, including transitions to AWS or other cloud platforms.
-Set up and manage hosting environments to ensure reliability and speed.
-Security & SEO (Bonus)

Implement best practices for website security.

-Perform regular backups and vulnerability checks.
-Familiarity with SEO and tracking tools (Google Analytics, keyword tools) is a plus.
-Continuous Improvement
-Proactively propose and test new features or functionality.
-Maintain version control and staging practices before deploying changes.

What You Must Have

-Extensive WordPress development experience (this is not an entry-level role).
-Strong experience with automation tools such as Zappier
-Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
-Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
-Experience with AWS or other cloud hosting platforms.
-Familiarity with automation tools like Make, Gravity Forms, Mailchimp, etc.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and efficiently.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills)

-SEO and web analytics knowledge.
-Experience with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
-Familiarity with Slack, Monday, and similar project tools.

Working Structure & Expectations

This is a part-time role, paid hourly, and you will be required to track both your hours and productivity using a platform called Traq, with the possibility of doing full-time hours if you have the correct skill set.

Wages a paid monthly based on your TraQ schedule.
