JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a skilled Front-End Developer with proven experience building stunning, functional WordPress websites. The ideal candidate must have a strong foundation in WordPress development, an eye for design, and the ability to customize plugins and themes using PHP, CSS, and HTML.

This role involves both creating new websites from scratch based on requirements and maintaining existing websites, including posting blogs, creating landing pages, and making performance or design tweaks as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain responsive WordPress websites from concept to completion.
- Customize WordPress plugins and themes using PHP, HTML, and CSS.
- Implement website updates, blogs, and landing pages on active client sites.
- Ensure websites meet modern web development best practices, including accessibility and performance.
- Collaborate with the design and SEO teams to deliver optimized websites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and WordPress-related issues.
- Maintain a portfolio of active websites as proof of experience.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, PHP, CSS, HTML, and responsive design.
- Experience in customizing plugins and themes.
- Good understanding of web development best practices.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles is a plus.
- Reliable internet connection and power backup.
- Must be available to work 9 AM to 5 PM EST (Toronto time), Monday to Friday.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Portfolio of websites that demonstrates professional experience.

Preferred:

- Previous experience working with international clients.
- Knowledge of performance optimization and security best practices
