JOB OVERVIEW

Full-time remote | Philippines | U.S. Central Time
Pay: $12-$15 USD per hour, depending on demonstrated experience. Paid weekly.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. 40 working hours per week.
Occasional weekend emergency coverage is compensated separately under agreed terms.
Schedule follows Dallas/Chicago time, including U.S. daylight saving changes.


About Buddy Moving

Buddy Moving is a Texas moving company serving the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on WordPress specialist to keep our website working well, implement updates promptly, and improve our visibility in search.
This is an implementation role, not an SEO reporting-only position. You should be comfortable making the changes yourself, checking your work, and explaining what was completed. We value steady ownership and clear communication over big promises.

What you will do

Build and update WordPress pages, layouts, FAQs, team bios, service pages, images, navigation, and approved website content. Make changes responsive and easy to use on desktop and mobile.

Troubleshoot website problems, plugin conflicts, broken links, forms, tracking scripts, and relevant integrations. Verify that quote requests reach the correct destination, not just that the page displays a success message.

Improve technical and on-page SEO: page titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, crawlability, indexing, canonical tags, redirects, sitemaps, and appropriate structured data.

Improve loading speed and user experience without breaking important functionality. Identify useful local SEO and service-page improvements for a moving business.

Maintain WordPress, themes, and plugins using a controlled process. Use an appropriate test environment, backups, quality checks, and a rollback plan for changes that could affect the live site.

Track requests, communicate realistic turnaround times, document changes, and flag risks or blockers early. Coordinate with management and any marketing partners on priorities.

Expected focus: approximately 60% website implementation and troubleshooting, 25% SEO improvements, and 15% monitoring, quality checks, and documentation.

What we are looking for

At least three years of hands-on WordPress experience, or an equivalent portfolio showing strong independent work. You must be able to explain exactly what you personally built or fixed.

Strong HTML and CSS, practical JavaScript, and enough PHP/WordPress knowledge to diagnose errors and make maintainable custom changes. Experience with common editors or builders and the ability to work within an existing site setup.

Practical technical and on-page SEO experience, preferably for U.S. local-service businesses. Comfortable using Google Search Console, GA4, PageSpeed Insights, and an SEO plugin or comparable tools.

Sound judgment with hosting, backups, staging, security, permissions, and production changes. You do not experiment blindly on a live business website.

Clear written and spoken English, dependable attendance, and a reliable computer, internet connection, and realistic backup plan for power or connectivity interruptions.

Ability to work the full agreed schedule without conflicting work commitments. This is a direct individual role; do not subcontract or share access without written approval.

Helpful, but not required: experience with lead-generation forms, CRM connections, Google Tag Manager, Git/version control, local SEO, and moving or home-service websites.

Schedule and emergency coverage

The regular shift is 10:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. Philippine time while the U.S. observes Central Daylight Time, and 11:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m. during Central Standard Time. Shifts start Monday-Friday nights in the Philippines; Friday's shift finishes Saturday morning. The one-hour lunch break is within this window.

Occasional weekend on-call coverage is for genuine emergencies, such as an unavailable website or a broken quote-request process. Coverage windows, response expectations, and additional compensation will be agreed in advance. This is not an expectation of continuous 24/7 availability.

Success in the first 30-60 days

You understand the website setup, deliver routine changes within agreed deadlines, catch issues before publishing, verify important lead paths, maintain a clear change log, and make measurable progress on a prioritized SEO and website-improvement backlog.
