JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented Web Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in CSS, WordPress, Blocks, GeneratePress, and Advanced Custom Fields, with a keen eye for creating visually appealing and user-friendly web designs. Additionally, experience in creating dynamic media sites will be highly valued. An understanding of PHP and web hosting-related skills is helpful.

Training for GeneratePress and Blocks is available, but a good sense of CSS is a must. We are also in the process of moving towards the Etch Page builder in the near future.

Responsibilities:

* Developed and customize WordPress websites using Generate Press, Advanced Custom Fields and Blocks.
* Use the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg) to create and modify layouts, ensuring seamless content integration and an exceptional user experience.
* Use GeneratePress, including theme setup, customization, and optimization, to achieve desired design and functionality outcomes.
* Implement and extend Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to create dynamic and flexible content structures, allowing for easy content management and updates.
* Maintain and update existing websites, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements as needed.
* Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design techniques, and contribute innovative ideas to projects.
* You will be working on a base theme from GeneratePress to build websites
* Help build a better base theme and faster workflow for quick website builds.

Requirements:

* Expert knowledge of CSS, HTML, and responsive web design principles.
* Strong expertise in WordPress, including theme customization, plugin integration, and content management.
* Familiarity with the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg) and its application in building dynamic and flexible web layouts.
* Prior experience with the GeneratePress theme, including setup, configuration, and design customization not required but a bonus. Training will be provided if needed.
* Proficiency in Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and their implementation for creating dynamic content structures.
* Graphic design skills are a plus, but not mandatory.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to web design and development.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* A portfolio showcasing past projects demonstrating your skills in CSS, WordPress, Blocks, GeneratePress, Advanced Custom Fields, and dynamic media integration (design samples, if available).
* Continuous learning attitude and a desire to stay updated on the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
