JOB OVERVIEW

# WordPress + Automation Developer

We are a digital marketing agency looking for a reliable WordPress developer who can help us build, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot client websites.

This is not just a page-builder role.

We need someone who is comfortable working inside WordPress, writing custom code when needed, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping us build automations and integrations across the tools we use.

## What You’ll Work On

* Build and update WordPress websites
* Create and modify landing pages
* Troubleshoot WordPress bugs and plugin conflicts
* Make custom changes using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
* Work with Elementor, Bricks, or similar page builders
* Build and manage custom fields using ACF
* Work with custom post types
* Improve website speed and performance
* Handle staging, migrations, backups, and deployments
* Connect WordPress to third-party platforms using APIs and webhooks
* Build simple automations using Zapier or Make
* Troubleshoot forms, tracking, CRM integrations, and lead flows
* Work with tools like GoHighLevel when needed
* Maintain existing client websites
* Help with technical QA before changes go live

## Required Skills

You should be comfortable with:

* WordPress
* PHP
* JavaScript
* HTML/CSS
* Elementor, Bricks, or similar builders
* Advanced Custom Fields
* APIs
* Webhooks
* Zapier or Make
* Git/GitHub
* Hosting and DNS basics
* Website debugging and troubleshooting

## Bonus Skills

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

* WooCommerce
* GoHighLevel
* Cloudflare
* Google Tag Manager
* GA4
* Supabase
* REST APIs
* OpenAI or Claude APIs
* Basic Node.js
* SQL
* Custom WordPress plugin development

We need someone who:

* Communicates clearly
* Responds during agreed working hours
* Lets us know when something is blocked
* Asks questions instead of guessing
* Gives realistic timelines
* Meets deadlines
* Tests their work before handing it off
* Takes ownership of tasks
* Can work independently without disappearing

If you run into a problem, we expect you to communicate it early.

## Working Hours

We are based in the United States.

You must be able to provide at least **4–5 hours of overlap with Central Time business hours**.

Exact schedule can be discussed, but consistent availability and communication are required.
