JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a highly skilled WordPress Expert with strong CSS and HTML capabilities and hands-on experience managing core web administration functions. This role is ideal for someone who can both build and maintain high-performing websites while confidently handling technical infrastructure tasks like DNS, Cloudflare, hosting, and site security.

You’ll be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress websites while ensuring reliability, speed, and security across multiple domains and environments.

Key Responsibilities
WordPress Development

Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (themes, templates, and plugins)

Customize themes using HTML, CSS, and light PHP as needed

Implement responsive, mobile-first designs

Troubleshoot WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, and performance issues

Manage WordPress updates, backups, and migrations

Front-End & Technical Skills

Write clean, maintainable HTML and CSS

Apply custom styling and layout adjustments beyond page builders

Optimize site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance

Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility

Web Administration & Infrastructure

Configure and manage domain DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.)

Set up and manage Cloudflare (DNS, SSL, caching, security rules)

Handle website hosting environments (cPanel, WP Engine, Flywheel, Kinsta, or similar)

Configure SSL certificates and HTTPS

Assist with site migrations, staging environments, and production launches

Monitor uptime, security, and backups

SEO & Best Practices (Nice to Have)

Implement basic on-page SEO best practices

Ensure proper indexing, schema, and site structure

Work with Google Search Console and analytics tools

Required Qualifications
Strong experience with WordPress (5+ years preferred)

Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS

Proven experience with DNS management and domain configuration

Hands-on experience using Cloudflare

Comfortable working with hosting dashboards and web servers

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple websites and deadlines

Preferred / Bonus Skills
PHP fundamentals

Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or other page builders

Familiarity with SEO tools and performance optimization

Experience working with marketing agencies or client-facing projects

Understanding of website security best practices
