JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Wix Studio developer who can support a fast-growing directory and content platform. This role requires someone who is strong in both front-end implementation and technical setup, with proven experience in Wix Studio, Velo, technical SEO, structured data, and payment or gated-access functionality.

This is not a basic design-only role. We need someone who can think strategically, solve technical problems independently, and communicate clearly on progress, blockers, and next steps.

**What We Need Help With**

* Building and improving pages in Wix Studio
* Working with Wix CMS collections, dynamic pages, and datasets
* Implementing technical SEO best practices across content and directory pages
* Adding and troubleshooting JSON-LD schema markup
* Setting up structured data such as FAQ, Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, Article, and other relevant schema types
* Creating clean URL structures and improving internal linking setup
* Troubleshooting indexing, metadata, page structure, and on-page SEO issues
* Building paid listing, claim listing, or gated-access workflows
* Setting up payment flows for pages, subscriptions, pricing plans, or member-access pages
* Working with Wix Members Area, Pricing Plans, and paid access restrictions
* Creating custom functionality in Velo when native Wix functionality is not enough
* Connecting forms, buttons, and member actions to CMS collections
* Helping create scalable workflows for business owners to claim, pay for, and manage listings

**Required Skills**

* Strong hands-on experience with Wix Studio
* Strong experience with Velo by Wix
* Strong understanding of Wix CMS, dynamic pages, and dataset permissions
* Solid technical SEO knowledge
* Experience implementing and validating JSON-LD schema
* Understanding of page indexing, structured data, metadata, canonical issues, redirects, and internal linking
* Experience building payment-related flows inside Wix, including Pricing Plans, gated pages, paid member access, or listing claim systems
* Ability to troubleshoot custom logic involving logged-in members, CMS records, and permissions
* Strong written communication and daily status reporting

**Nice to Have**

* Experience with directory-style websites
* Experience building claim-a-listing workflows
* Experience with attorney, local service, employer, or resource directories
* Familiarity with Google Search Console and SEO QA
* Experience improving site architecture for large content sites

* Pages are built correctly and function properly
* JSON/schema is implemented accurately and without errors
* Technical SEO issues are identified and fixed proactively
* Payment and claim workflows work cleanly
* CMS and member permissions are set up correctly
* Communication is consistent, direct, and reliable
* Clear daily updates are provided with completed work, blockers, and next steps

**Communication Expectations**

* Daily end-of-day status updates are required
* Must communicate blockers clearly and early
* Must respond directly to project-related questions within a reasonable timeframe during working hours
* Must be comfortable documenting work and providing handoff notes when needed
