JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Wix website designer to optimize our existing website, ---------- , for mobile devices.

Our desktop website is already designed, branded and live. We are NOT looking for a website redesign.

We need someone with strong Wix experience who can go through the entire existing website and make the mobile version polished, professional, easy to navigate and visually consistent.

What You'll Do

You will review the entire website at ---------- and optimize the mobile version page-by-page.

This includes:

Fixing spacing, margins and excessive white space
Correcting overlapping or misaligned elements
Adjusting font sizes and line wrapping
Making buttons appropriately sized and positioned
Correcting image sizing and cropping
Improving the appearance of grids and multi-column layouts on mobile
Making sure sections appear in the correct order
Optimizing the mobile navigation/menu
Reviewing forms and calls-to-action
Optimizing headers and footers
Checking event-related content
Reviewing all four UCATX chapter areas: North Texas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio
Testing the completed site on multiple mobile screen sizes
Completing a final QA review to identify anything that was missed

This project is mobile optimization — NOT a redesign.

You should work within the existing UCATX branding and design.

Do NOT:

Redesign the desktop website
Change our branding
Rewrite our copy
Delete content without approval
Make unnecessary design changes
Publish major changes without approval

Our existing desktop website should remain intact.

Requirements

You MUST have:

Strong hands-on experience with Wix
Experience specifically optimizing Wix websites for mobile
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written English communication
Ability to work independently
Ability to start quickly
Ability to provide regular progress updates
Examples of Wix websites you personally worked on

Experience with association, nonprofit, membership or event websites is a plus but not required.
