Role (Overview of the Position)

This position will be responsible for leading the strategy and planning of assigned client SEO projects. The strategist will execute these strategies through MDR’s pod and support systems, working with SEO Specialists, SEO Supports, VAs, and the content team. This role involves taking clear ownership of assigned projects, ensuring strategies are aligned with client goals, guided by data, and carried through effectively from planning to delivery.

Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)

- Manage multiple client projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, focus, and on-time delivery.
- Lead the strategy and planning for assigned client SEO projects.
- Create monthly reports to show progress, highlight wins, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the content team by suggesting topics and outlining content deliverables for each month.
- Work with SEO Specialists, SEO Supports, and VAs within the pod system to execute strategies effectively.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and workflows to ensure projects are managed smoothly from start to finish.
- Conduct audits, keyword research, and performance reviews to inform data-driven decisions.
- Provide guidance, direction, and feedback to pod members to maintain alignment and quality.
- Develop and maintain SEO documents (such as strategies, audits, and reports) for both internal use and client reporting.
- Take ownership of project outcomes, ensuring strategies stay on track and aligned with client goals.

- Assigned SEO projects are delivered with clear direction, steady progress, and alignment to client business objectives.
- Multiple client accounts are handled efficiently, with competing priorities balanced without delays or quality issues.
- Monthly reports consistently highlight wins, performance insights, and opportunities, equipping leadership with valuable talking points for client updates.
- Content deliverables are strategically planned, ensuring each piece contributes to improved visibility and rankings.
- Pod collaboration is seamless, with Specialists, Supports, and VAs executing tasks on time and to standard.
- Timelines, workflows, and deliverables are proactively managed, preventing bottlenecks and ensuring smooth project flow.
- Audits and keyword research regularly uncover growth opportunities, guiding smarter decision-making.
- Performance reviews lead to tangible strategy adjustments that improve traffic, rankings, or conversions.
- Leadership receives accurate, well-structured documentation that strengthens client communication and trust.
- Strategists demonstrate effective delegation and feedback, resulting in stronger team performance and accountability within pods.
- Campaigns remain adaptable to changing client needs or market conditions without losing ---------- ntum.

- Workload across multiple clients is prioritized effectively, ensuring no project falls behind schedule.

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)

- Proven experience in SEO strategy, including keyword research, audits, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, local SEO, analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client accounts at the same time without losing focus on quality or deadlines.
- Skilled in creating SEO documents for both client reporting and internal use (such as strategies, reports, and project plans) that clearly outline progress, insights, and next steps.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (such as content, design, development, PPC, and virtual assistants) to ensure deliverables align with SEO strategies and client goals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to think critically, stay calm under pressure, and find solutions in urgent or challenging situations.
- Comfortable giving direction, feedback, and guidance to tea ---------- mbers to keep projects on track.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to keep timelines and deliverables moving smoothly.
- Familiarity with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and digital marketing practices.
