JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our fast-paced operations team. This full-time role is critical to maintaining smooth daily operations across our logistics network. The successful candidate will coordinate shipments, communicate with carriers and clients, and ensure all freight movements are tracked and executed efficiently.
Schedule & Hours
Full-Time: 40 hours per week
Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
? Coordinate daily freight shipments with brokers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers
? Monitor shipment status and provide proactive customer updates on delivery progress
? Input and maintain accurate shipment data in TMS (Transportation Management System) and related platforms
? Communicate with logistics partners to resolve delays, exceptions, and delivery issues
? Validate carrier information and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
? Reconcile shipment documentation and resolve discrepancies in billing and delivery records
? Support capacity planning and identify operational bottlenecks
? Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team initiatives

Required Qualifications
? 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, or operations
? Proficiency with TMS platforms or similar logistics software (LMS, DAT, Highway, etc.)
? Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Reliability and willingness to work weekend shifts
? Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
? Ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications
? Experience in freight brokerage or 3PL operations
? Familiarity with carrier negotiation and load building
? Background in customer service or client relations
