JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description
Vaaho Photo is a New York–based wedding photo + video team looking for a remote wedding video editor who specializes in storytelling edits. Our films are built around emotion, pacing, and narrative — not just highlights of “cool shots.” You’ll turn real wedding days (multi-cam + clean audio) into films that feel intentional, cinematic, and story-driven.
This role requires working primarily on New York (Eastern Time) hours for communication, review notes, and revisions. Some weeks will require extra hours on a few days, depending on deadlines and workload.
Responsibilities
Edit story-driven highlight films (3–8 minutes) with strong narrative flow
Edit full-length films (30–90 minutes) with clean structure (prep ? ceremony ? reception)
Build edits around vows/speeches/audio ---------- nts when available
Sync multi-camera footage + audio (recorders/lavs) and keep everything organized
Choose music that supports the story and match pacing to emotion
Clean audio (dialogue clarity, leveling) + basic sound design
Color correct / basic grading to match our reference look (we provide samples)
Create short-form Reels/TikToks/teasers (15–60 seconds) using story hooks
Export in required formats and upload to our review system
Apply feedback quickly and deliver revisions on time
Requirements
Proven wedding editing experience with storytelling examples (portfolio required)
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred) or DaVinci Resolve
Strong sense of pacing, music choice, and emotional storytelling
Comfortable working with large files + remote workflows ( ---------- , etc.)
Reliable internet + capable editing workstation (4K-ready)
Strong communication, attention to detail, deadline-driven
Work Schedule (Important)
Must be available during New York hours (Eastern Time) for coordination and feedback
Some weeks require extra hours on a few days depending on tasks and deadlines
Work is ongoing; weekly volume may vary based on event schedule
