Website Growth Strategist (Shopify)

BrandFi | Remote / Hybrid

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Website Growth Strategist who understands how Shopify websites actually generate revenue. This is not a design role and not a general marketing position. The focus is on structure, speed, conversion flow, and execution.

You will be responsible for identifying what is limiting growth, designing a clear plan to improve performance, and working directly with developers and leadership to implement changes that move real metrics.

This role requires strong judgment, independence, and the ability to think beyond templates and apps.

Responsibilities
• Audit Shopify websites for conversion flow, structure, performance, and clarity
• Diagnose friction across homepage, collection pages, product pages, cart, and checkout
• Develop and execute growth strategies tied to user behavior and traffic intent
• Improve conversion rates through layout, messaging, UX, and technical optimization
• Lead or guide custom development work when off-the-shelf solutions are insufficient
• Implement and review custom front-end code (HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript)
• Work closely with developers to ship clean, performant solutions
• Monitor performance using analytics, heatmaps, and testing tools
• Translate data into clear recommendations for internal teams and clients
• Continuously iterate based on results, not assumptions

Required Skills
• Deep experience with Shopify architecture and themes
• Strong understanding of custom Shopify development
• Ability to write and review HTML, CSS, Liquid, and JavaScript
• Conversion strategy and user journey mapping
• Website performance optimization including load speed and Core Web Vitals
• Proficiency with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Hotjar, or similar
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Structured thinking and strong attention to detail

Experience
• Proven experience driving measurable growth on Shopify stores
• Portfolio or case studies showing before-and-after performance improvements
• Experience with Shopify Plus is a strong asset
